Yeah, thought so 😉 Think I’ll always have to charge at Enfield
Yeah, supercharger off the motorway at the Johnstown estate
If you drive at less than 100kph in the summer.
Estimated range is a mix of roads (city, secondary and motorway) If you drove all on motorway even in the summer I'd say you'd get around 75-80% WLTP.
You have to have Netflix / Spotify subscriptions as well if you want them.
just to clarify you do NOT need to have a Spotify subscription/account to use Spotify in the car,
I have never signed up to Spotify (or used it outside of the car) but in the car I probably use it 99% of the time…
the car defaults to a Tesla Spotify account so you can listen to anything you want as free.
The Model 3's autopilot technology, which offers a level of driving assistance unmatched in the industry, is among its most notable features. On lengthy journeys, the car can handle a lot of the driving, saving you time and enabling you to unwind.
According to https://nerdycar.com/tesla-model-3-tire-pressure/ tire pressure is continuously monitored by sensors in the Model 3 and updated in real-time on the infotainment screen. By providing ideal traction and handling, this feature not only contributes to tire longevity but also enhances the overall driving experience.
Overall, the Tesla Model 3 V3.0 is an exceptional electric vehicle that offers a perfect combination of performance, style, and cutting-edge technology. If you're in the market for an EV, I highly recommend giving the Model 3 a close look.
By providing ideal traction and handling, this feature not only contributes to tire longevity but also enhances the overall driving experience.
Tyre longevity is not something I would associate with the Model 3. Aggressive regen braking in my view contributes to faster tyre wear when compared to an ICE car. I'd be lucky to get 40k KMs out of a set, but I do a lot of motorway driving and have a fairly 'robust' driving style when on the backroads.
But AP for me is the best feature in my view, given Im on the road for work a lot.
In my RWD SR+ I replaced the rear tyres at 30,000km, and then replaced all 4 at 58,000km (would have liked to get to 60,000 for OCD, but wanted 4 new tyres on before setting off across Europe).
the fronts in my opinion could have easily got me to 70,000-80,000km if I wanted…. as there is so little weight on them and they do virtually no braking at all….
No service requirements.
Replace the cabin filter every other year and check the brakes to ensure they are not sticking.
Does navigation show or plan route using live traffic info, if not subscribing to premium connectivity? Thanks.
Yes.
the only difference is with premium connectivity you get to see the traffic on the screen. But navigation uses traffic date regardless of if you have premium connectivity or not.
Asked this in the model Y thread should have posted it here! Has anyone driven Dublin to Letterkenny via Castlebellingham and how was the range? Thanks.
I’ve got an estimate from Tesla for a trade in of my VW id3 against a M3 delivery April- May. Will they honour the estimate if I don’t get delivery til May? I’m worried that they’d knock a few thousand off the estimate. Anyone got any experience of trading in with Tesla?
They will likely text you for an odometer update nearer the time.
How much did they offer you?
Many times in all conditions - and my car has an NCA battery and I only ever charge to 90%. The SuC at Castlebellingham makes this drive worry free as once you leave the M1 towards Ardee, you're not going above 100km/hr so car is fairly efficient.
Better still, M3 makes overtaking a breeze on that leg of the route.
The estimate is just that. You have to progress to the next step where you upload photos of the car to get an actual official trade in valuation that will appear on your account. It is then valid for 30 days. You will be asked to update your mileage after the 30 days, but like any other car manufacturer, if things change, the value will change accordingly.
You are right about that the M3 overtakes like a beast. I can only imagine what the performance one is like or even a MS plaid.
Many thanks! I appreciate the reply, puts my mind at ease to know it’s stress free!
27k
It’s not too bad if it’s a 2020 58kWh one, if not try ZuCar etc. for a better offer.
Zucar offered me 25:)
Signed the disclaimer for Tesla Vision, does this mean that tesla vision is active and working?
It 100% is not active and working when it comes to park assist, noone knows if and when it will be functional in damp Ireland with constantly blocked cameras
I live in a tree dense and damp estate and have zero mould of any description anywhere on the car (March 22 RWD). Never heard of this before so sounds like Pub talk
Our 2021 car lives outside parked for weeks at the time and can confirm there are no problems with mold. I have seen occasionally a few droplets running inside the framed glass after pressure wash though. But that's after using Karcher at full blast to clean the windows. I have never had a car with frameless windows before but expect this to be quite normal.
Oh yes, I also had bit of moisture in the frunk after I had something wedged in there that kept one side of the bonnet a bit up. Copped on after a rainy motorway trip. Bit even then it was not a problem.
i think your mate is telling tall tales or has been told tall tales…..
My (American made, which are built terribly apparently) Model 3 is 3 years old in 4 weeks and I’ve never seen any mould anywhere in it.
They’ve all been coming from China since late 2020, so are even better built than the American made ones.
Yeah, any of zucar and the like were offering me well below what I got for my car. I know zucar sell on direct themselves but others generally are selling onto the trade so taking their cut.
I had a strange one this morning with my Model 3 (Sept 2022 RWD):
I left for work after charging overnight and I noticed that my satnav screen had frozen, no cameras working, autolights not working and autosteer/cruise control not available (because of cameras I assumed). So I pulled in and carried out a 2-button reset/reboot. It did not resolve the issue.
Decided to continue driving to work and I said that I would log the issue through the app once I got to work. About 20 minutes later, it all came back working itself... I am currently running on software version 2022.44.30.
Has this happened to anybody else?
Mike
No issue here, but I was charging at Castlebellingham late last night and the app was unavailable due to a sever issue - possibly related?
