Got a new trade-in offer from Tesla which is now valid till 11.03. According to tesla customer service this is a final trade in offer and the collection will be before 11.03. I guess it lines up with other reports from Tesla about the deliveries after the 9th of March.
PS tesla trade in offer last November was 28500 and dropped now to 26500 (granted I drove 4k km in that time). I won't accept it though as I can get 2k more elsewhere.
is It just me or is it really difficult/impossible to actually get an answer when you ring Tesla? Nobody picks up. I usually just hang up after 5 mins of hold music.
Yea you can be on hold for upto 15 minutes or longer plus they can't give info like will you get a vin or estimate date.
Can you show the invoice and how they are wording it.
I just got off the phone with Telsa. No VIN means no car (duh') and unless there's a car in one of the ships that hasn't been assigned yet, I am feeling I missed this delivery window as I changed the colour of the car as prices dropped.
Delivery date still says 24th Feb - 12 March, but not really happy with the response tbh.
is yours on Hoegh Chiba? if so, that's a pretty fast turnaround. I've no trade in so just at the point where I need to pay the balance. I'm selling privately. It's a much older EV so that's easier I guess.
I got through in the end. They must be flat out with queries.
Basically said they are expecting 2 shipments this quarter as was already mentioned above and to not lose all hope just yet as they are only starting to match customers and many variables to work with such as cancellations etc.

Yes, it's on Hoegh Chiba. The original trade in offer expired before Christmas but it took a month to get a new one.
Glovis Sunrise has left Shanghai,that could be the second boat given it not for uk.Then again could be for uk or Europe given how small our market is in Ireland.
I used to just use the chat on the configurator page. They aren't always online, but usually evening around 8pm I would get through. May be busier now though than last year..
Test drove MY RWD in Cork today with wifey.
i was prepared to be underwhelmed and begin to have doubts on how it drove, looked etc.
well lets just say if i could have driven the car home and left them my Audi Q4 , i would have !
it was brilliant to drive.
very well balanced on the road , felt very nimble and steering was very sports like.
very quiet on motorway .
ran over every pothole and manhole i could on some backroads , and i was impressed.
seats were very supportive.
screen is super slick and intuitive
acceleration was very impressive (and quiet) compared to Audi Q4. (Slowish from standing start upto 50km/hr but then takes off like a rocket, probably due to one motor and CATL battery)
Wifey was very impressed.
cant wait for pickup in march .
Glad test drive went well, mun1. I was the same when I first drove Model 3 - took a UFO drive rental as a treat on holidays to see how the other half lived, and suddenly realised how brilliant a car it was. Was delighted when my financial gymnastics worked out that I could afford one (with the help of a good trade-in at the time)
Our Vin just disappeared. Had been showing and was saying pay before delivery....
I rented one on UFO back in 2019 and then again in 2021. It's been scratching at my brain since. Had a few other things to deal with, and plan was to order one in a few months time - the discounts moved that up. :)
I ordered a blue MY RWD on the 27th of January. I can now see the VIN in the source code, but nothing on the app or visible in my account. According to Hoegh's website, the car is on Hoegh Chiba with arrival in Zeebrugge on the 2nd of March.

Also a bit dubious whether I can expect this delivery seeing as I ordered the car on the same day it was loaded onto the ship. Is it a case of it already having been loaded without an order toward it? Or possibly a cancellation?

I think someone posted deliveries from the 8th or 9th which would make sense ( assuming no delays at sea ). There is a 3 day weekly RORO sailing from Zeb to Dub.
That's exactly what happened. They just put a load of popular configurations onboard and match them up with orders. Lucky you.

Tesla don’t make cars for orders. They send a generic amount of various specs and then match to suit.

Ordered RWD model Y in October and have an EDD 23/02 - 02/03, with a VIN onboard Hoegh Chiba. Tesla sent a request for payment today and completed it in bank branch via swift. The wait continues...
Same here, but I'm not paying them until I sell my car at the end of February. What if boat sinks😭
if you've committed to purchasing, why would someone purchase a home charger other than the €500 charger offered by Tesla themselves?
I have ohme it work with telsa cars and other makes of car.I guess make sense to get telsa charger if you own m3 or y.
Don't give up home, there are loads of Y orders that will not be collected and also all the double orders where folk want a LR or RWD but will take whatever comes first

Trade in offer isn’t bad considering, is it a Tesla you are trading ?
I made that mistake ie buying a VW charger with I bought the ID4. Should have got a Zappi then its future proofed for Solar etc. Also need to buy a Tesla sticker to go over the VW logo 🙈
I transferred full amount. Will be onto them straight away if boat sinks or gets stuck in the Suez!
