My order page updated and they want the balance due before delivery. I guess it's definite then. :)
What's the story with the VRT now on EVs? It looks like they're not taking the VRT grant off. It's just over 47K incl paint option and delivery. Then they're sticking the VRT on top of that.
Just an update based on a conversation with Tesla this morning.
According to the staff I spoke with, the allocation of all "Feb - Mar" delivery for Irish market has been completed. Anyone who hasn't received a VIN assignment probably already missed this batch.
The dates for the next delivery have not been confirmed. But Tesla normally does quarterly delivery for Ireland. So if things go smoothly, it is likely that the next batch won't arrive until late May or in June.
I was advised to check the inventory on Tesla's official page in case there are cars matching my requirement come up there, which would be quite unlikely since I want one with basic config.
Unfortunately not good news for those who are still awaiting VIN assignment, like myself.
Tesla told me it's an error on their website, and 5K EUR grant will still be offered. The due amount will reflect it before payment is required.
It will be removed once the car lands and SEAI approve the Grant.
That given there is another boat if true guess I be keep my car.I wouldn't bother buying it in September with the Grant gone to expensive to be worth it.
This would be bleak AF. I am waiting for my VIN to be assigned and honestly have lost a bit of faith now, even though my order is from September. Not sure why they reached out for finance approval + SEAI grant form if I am not getting a car. Glad I did not sell mine, anyway.
If they approached you to progress the order further, I think yours might have already been allocated? Maybe the VIN has been assigned for you and it just hasn't appeared in your account yet.
I truly hope it' just a matter of not being reflected in the account/order. Will follow up again with Tesla, or call.

Again back to my issue with EDD. If they know the date is bullshit then just change it and stop giving people false hope.

I had VIN assigned last week but it disappeared later. Today Tesla had confirmed that VIN still exists over the phone and sent me the number via text. Also, the final trade in value will be offered 30 days before collection so I guess we're not collecting our cars till the 2nd week of march as mine is still pending.
What other car can you order now for delivery?
I raised this point on the call. The official website for Ireland is still showing Apr - May as the estimated delivery date, even if a new order is placed now. However knowing how they normally arrange shipments to Ireland (typically quarterly or even twice per year), there is no way they can deliver it on time.
The staff agreed that the EDD on the website doesn't seem right and said they would look into it.
Second hand market still exists. I’ll just sacrifice an EV this time.
Plus ireland isn't a important market to telsa either.There was guy in UK order m3 on Feb 1 has a vin and estimated date already.while in ireland yea sorry September lol.
There’s no doubt about it. Once prices increase which they have started to in America and take or reduce the grant then people will just walk away.
A lot of MY reservation holders from 2022 who have hidden VINs allocated, may cancel between now and their delivery date if they were relying on a certain value of MY trade in against it. So all hope is not yet lost if you're waiting on an MY RWD to be allocated.
Thanks, I did but in theory is just "sit and wait". I think he sort of dismissed me. Will call again when I have more time, I was in between work calls and did not have the time to push back.
I ordered an M3 RWD, white with black interior and 19" wheels on 3 Feb (2023... to be clear). Initially EDD was April - May but today it changed to 6 March to 21 March and VIN is showing in the source code.

My VIN details have disappeared from my account, I took a screenshot last Wednesday and put link up here so can quote it but completely absent from my account now
Just called Tesla and car will be delivered to baldonnell on 8th march , ready for pickup on 9th march.
still at estimated delivery date of 20th feb to 10th march on account, and VIN still hidden.

Apparently Because I didn’t receive text message notification last Wednesday about my VIN issue ( notification was through account) , this was a “soft match”, rang Tesla just now and I’ve yet to get a “ hard match “ , she said it’s not certain il get my RWD Y in blue that I ordered November 6th in this batch
So what will you do on the 9th or March if there's no news about the LR? Bird in the hand?
I didn't get a text with the VIN either. Just spotted it on the account.
