I think this could be in conjunction with the German announcement. Yes, an old tank, but logistics and support and training will also be provided, I suspect the tanks will be modernised somewhat.

People stated that Zelensky was the man of the hour. I stated that Zaluzhny seemed to be making all the important decisions. Then someone else came on (maybe you) talking about dictatorships versus "non-dictatorships", again as if that had ANY bearing or relevance on whether Zelensky was calling the shots or whether it was Zaluzhny. I stated that Zaluzhny effectively asked for an army, and your response is "do you prefer democracy or dictatorship?"

550+ tanks have been sent or are planned to go to Ukraine (about 300 have been already delivered, with that number increasing as the batches arrive)
Germany just confirmed today around 180 Leopard 1's will go (to be refitted and delivered over this year)
It doesn't matter whether subsistence farming has been extinct for decades or not. The comparison was between a place that produces resources easily and a place that doesn't. If I said a person with a gold-nibbed fountain pen and a beautiful pad of bonded paper will produce nicer calligraphy than someone with a crayon and a slate are you going to come back at me and say "Nobody uses fountain pens anymore" ? Completely missing the point?
Technically they may not be Main Battle Tanks but welcome nonetheless.
When it comes to will, Russia will crack sooner rather than Ukraine. If they were in any doubt about what the future would have in store for them, war crimes in Buncha and elsewhere will re-enforce the need for them to fight tooth and nail to get the Russians off their land.
Zaluzhny has requested 300 tanks and massive other quantities of equipment. Do you think that request is going to be answered anytime soon? I don't think the Brit Challengers have even arrived yet.
And what do you say other outcomes might be? What if the Russian offensive gathers momentum? What if the troops in that offensive are actually competent and well trained and equipped? What then? And there's talk of all these battletanks being given to Ukraine. Have they arrived yet? They better get there soon. These Ruskis are massing in East Ukraine and there's talk of an offensive as early as next week.
