These people exist, nothing you can do except remove the weapon.
Oh are we gonna call dogs that way now? Jeez..
Not all dogs, just dangerous ones. Some dogs are useful just get risd of those that have no real purpose and can kill people.
I'd say any dog has a capability to kill.
Right now there are millions of doggies and the people enjoying companies of each other, different sizes, colours, breeds (on both sides) with no hassle.
So your "no real purpose" argument is pointless.
Some more than others.
'Although there are reports in which many breeds of dogs have been involved in fatal or nearly fatal attacks on humans, the majority of cases involve pit bull-type dogs, Rottweilers, and German Shepherds, most of whom were unrestrained on their owner’s holdings.1,2,6,13–15 The expression “pit bull-type” defines a group of breeds with special features and behavioral characteristics: a tendency to not to make intimidating gestures (growling and baring of teeth) prior to attacking, greater jaw pressures, a capacity to continue grinding their posterior teeth into tissues while holding on with the canines, and an aggressive personality in a relative larger size. All these features make them highly hazardous, especially to vulnerable people.4,13'
I like the way you say doggies. All should be leashed and muzzled in public. All! No extendable leads and clean their crap up. Simple in my mind.
The rules are there but many just won't follow them and you won't make them. Best to just get rid of them.
Ah, I don't know. Dogs can be be great for good owners who know what they're doing. I just don't trust them.
No dog should be loose. Not a one.
Many countries have banned Pit Bulls already. The list includes France, Germany, Venezuela, Italy, Denmark, Puerto Rico, and many more have severe restrictions imposed. Have they all got it wrong?
Have they all got it wrong?
Yup they did.
Perhaps they don't want their children savaged.
Unfortunately the majority are like that and just think they are above the rules. I've had to tell 4 owners near me to stop letting their dogs roam or letting them into our garden to sh*t. I had to tell another owner who recently moved into the area that they can't be letting the Jack Russell out to roam. It went for 2 cats in our garden which really p*ssed me off. The excuse was she has 3 or 4 kids and the kids let it out or it gets out when she's putting them in the car. The door was locked when when she opened the door and the dog was already out for 45mins.
Then there are the others you can't say anything to because they are scumbags. There is no peace and quiet in neighbourhoods now because of selfish owners who let their dogs bark all day.
When this story broke I and every other responsible owner shuddered at the idea of a moron allowing a bull breed (or any dog really, but especially a listed breed) to roam.
In this latest case in the UK, the child was killed in her own back garden. Roaming wasn't an issue.
There's simply no safe way to manage these dogs.
That's not true.
Still no links?
once proper introductions are made, one of the friendliest dogs I have met.
what happens if proper introductions aren't made?
What happens if someone accidentally leaves the door open and the dog gets out?
Correct. The people who buy these things are basically oversized children who can't be trusted to control them.
What do you do with a bold child who misbehaves with his toys? You take the toy away.
Oh god, parent in action..
Yeah, I am a parent and that's why I'd rather not have scrotes roaming around with these horrible yokes.
It's interesting to hear things from the scrote's perspective though. Carry on.
The dogs are not to blame. it is the people
For exactly 21 years parent here too. Yet I'm not labeling other posters "scrotes".
As you can see, some posters here are still living through a fantasy that all will be sorted when we put down some breeds of dogs... Responsible humans..
Wow. I mean, you and I obviously have very different perspectives but I'm surprised that any parent could read about a child being killed by her own family pet in her own garden with her parents unable to control the dog... and just shrug it off as though there's nothing that can be done.
Different perspectives on the relative value of children and dogs I guess.
Wow.
Yeah, you are making a quick run there I'd say.
Still no link to point anyone here to read what happened there?
For a posts like yours on this thread, I have a box labeled stupid , so if you'll politely excuse me I'll shovel it all in there. Need a big shovel!
Different perspectives definitely, some can manage kids and dogs together at the same time. And some have other troubles.. IMO
you are making a quick run there
I appreciate English isn't your first language but I'm afraid I don't know what this means.
The story is already linked above. Scroll up. The facts aren't in dispute.
Even with my limited capacity when it comes to English, I can clearly see what you are doing in your posts.
I did read the article posted earlier. Somehow it doesn't ad up with your posts tho.
These dogs have no use that any other dog can do. Unless you're a drug dealer or want to scare people.
Maybe you go and tell that to the owners.. To good ones, to bad ones. And post outcome, with photos, if I can ask.
Don't necessarily agree.
But any dog roaming should be taken.
Plus stocks for owners with extendible leads.
It's not the dogs fault., if a dog is not trained, socialiased etc what happens? It attacks other dogs, bites people etc, how it it not partially the dogs fault?
Of course they have their use, just like other dogs do. But their traditional “roles” are becoming less relevant in todays society.
Why would anyone have a hunting/ gun dog if you don’t go hunting? Ban people from owning jack russells and cocker spaniels unless they are active hunters? Ban people from keeping Alsatians and Rottweilers unless they are confined to their guarding tasks?
Most breeds have lost their original breeding purpose because they are “just” pets now, and they don’t have jobs. As a consequence you have some people who do not treat them as dogs now, and those are the ones that will display troublesome behaviour.
Any dog, pit bull or yorkshire terrier can be trained and socialised properly. I have have had dogs that people on this thread labelled as dangerous, and not a single one of them ever attacked or injured anyone. But then I never let my dogs run around unsupervised because I wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to them.
