I think you need to be a certain age, most likely 30-45ish. Great cartoon and character. Owner of the house obviously agrees!
Someone call the white coats please...
Everything still packed in boxes and temporary looking, until....
I loved Taz! In the cartoons
Taz bars were pretty epic too for 10p, freddos just don’t compare!
I was sugary bastard and went for the wham and desperate dan and those yellow bars(forget the name) and I think there were others too that I forget. 10p each too.
Stinger bars were the business. Taz were as well, spoiled back then so we were :)
Roy of the rover I think was the name of the yellow bar I mentioned in post up above.
These bars were still around when I was a teenager. I remember smoking a joint or two and then eating one or two of those sugary bars. Ah memories.
Was it a whoopa for 5p? Pain to get all the paper off. But great when I wanted a 25p bottle and only had 30p to spend. Was always partial to refreshers too.
Them were the days alright before all this adulting of houses and jobs BS 😀
Yep, I'm that chort.. :D
A quaint cottage on a 2 acre bog - in Donegal, but it is Killybegs - fair enough. But I would love to see the inside of the yoke on the end, looks a bit like a handball alley!
It does look like a small handball alley but it's just a weird extension they built on. I wonder was there planning permission for it as it doesn't fit in with a small country cottage.
It was probably built in the days before Planning got fussy - about 10 years ago. You would probably have to apply for retention though.
Dermot Bannon has got pull in an bord pleanala
It would appear they are not immune from the ever powerful Brown Envelope.
It was never the case.
Single life policy (One person) paid on death.
Joint Life (Two people) Paid on first death.
Dual Life (two People) Paid on death of first life & again on the death of the second life.
Strange extension alright, the windows make it look like a modern/architect design. But, the rest of the house doesn’t back up such expense.
That is stunning in fairness.
This could be a nice little bolt hole, if it wasn’t 5 hours from civilisation. 😋

Not exactly Kenmare though, but nice all the same.
Maybe only 4 1/2 hours when Macroom and Ballyvourney bypassed , but you still have to negotiate the Healy pass.
Civilisation isn't confined to the Pale you know!
5 hours to civilization is a walk to Kenmare.
Compact but nicely renovated.
It's a small reminder that even today there are quite a lot of people living in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a couch, a fire, and a small TV or radio with basic channels.
Could they not have picked up the sideboard for the photograph?
That mezzanine would just turn into a rubbish dump (but a visible one), and that yellow bedroom gave me a headache just looking at the picture!
BER - E2 🥶
The photos show a lake giving the impression that the house overlooks a lake.
Is that house not in a valley with no view of the lake? Open to correction here.
And a window in the shower with a net curtin!
Yes, well kept and clean, If I was viewing this house it would make me a bit sad.
Agreed, if the map placement is correct the cottage is about 3km minimum from the lake. The description seems to suggest that the house is actually at the lake. You'd be a bit miffed to drive all the way out there in February to find it wasn't what was claimed.
It would be ok in the summer, in the winter it would be freezing.
