Ukraine will not strike with long-range missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation, Defense Minister Reznikov said at a meeting with EU representatives in Kyiv
“If we had the opportunity to strike at a distance of 300 km, the Russian army would not be able to provide defense and would be forced to lose,” Reznikov said.
The minister noted that Ukraine is ready to coordinate its actions with partners and give guarantees that long-range artillery received from Western countries will not be used to strike at Russia.
“We have enough targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and are ready to coordinate targets with our partners,” Reznikov stressed.

Its spooking them all right...have you seen either of Putins Muppeteers , Solovyov or Margarita Simonyan broadcast's recently? They both are really starting to lose the plot, and its starting to show. Back in the space race days, the old USSR drove itself into bankruptcy trying to keep up with the Americans. Russia did not have hope in hell trying to keep up with the US achievements, let alone surpass them. I'd say something similar is happening now, because for sure, there's plenty going on in the background that you will not hear about. Psychologically, it has to have an negative effect on the Ruzzians, at all levels, but especially the rank and file.
Then again they already have the launcher in the HiMars and M270s they just just need the bombs and kits which are already available as in they don't have to start a production line for them,

I would think he is getting closer and closer to using some form of WMD…..and will lay blame on west justifying it by suggesting he had no other option due to weapons, tanks and the relentless/imminent threat of a western invasion/attack on mother Russia….?
I think there's more going on that meets the eye. There's no reason why they shouldn't be given ATACMS. The only thing I can think of is that the US have warned Russia if they use Iranian ballistic missiles on Ukraine, Ukraine will be given ATACMS.
What do you lads think.....with all the announcements of tanks etc going Ukraines way, but with the Orcs obviously gathering bodies and equipment for a new offensive, do ye think the equipment will be with Ukraine in any significant portions or will the Ukrainians have to lose some territory in order to buy them time whilst waiting for the tanks etc ?

Asdfgh, since day one of Putins illegal invasion of Ukraine, ( and even before,, long before and not just before Ukraine either) when Putin fears that the argument is not going his way the Nuclear weapons dragon is brought out for a canter before being taken back where it belongs. He was using his dragon so often that a really big Dragon ( Chinese one) stepped out and told Putin that he was not happy about the way the Ruzzian dragon was being paraded around, and to stop it.
On the other side of the Planet, and even bigger and more powerful Dragon ( USA one) Quietly ( unlike the Chinese) whispered in Putin's ear that if his dragon even as much as hiccupped, it would mean the end of Ruzzia's conventional Army, Navy and Airforce. All destroyed by conventional means, and not a dragon in sight.

They may well loose more territory in the very short term,but they can still do a hell of a lot of damage,it seems they have a plan in place and are sticking to it ,they haven't sent thousands of reenforcements to soledar or bakhmut to push the Russians back,they have sent more equipment to bakhmut they aren't throwing the kitchen sink at it

Some of the news stories say Russia has 500,000 troops ready for an attack, but that seems to be a translation error. What the Ukrainian defense minister said was that Russia claimed to have mobilised 300,000 additional troops, but actually mobilised 500,000. That doesn't mean they can attack with 500k - not all of them are combat ready right now.

Do you know how a HIMARS system works? I don't. The most logical thing to me would seem to be to load the ordnance and have a control station feed all the mission profile, targeting and launcher location data to the ordnance én mass. In which case the launchers may well not have HIMOS7.2 rev 14c installed, that is necessary for them to talk to a new class of munition that didn't exist when they shipped. If the system requires every individual munition to be programmed, and the launcher is just a dumb rack then sure, the existing launchers would probably work.
I don't think wishful thinking is sufficient to trump the Bloomberg report.

There are millions of people still living in Ukraine that don't want to be part of russia. When the russians had troops closing in on the capitol of Ukraine there were mass movements to produce bottles of Molotov cocktails to slow down the advance of russian armor.
What do these 500,000 "soldiers" have that the conscripted convicts of Wagner did not have last month when they expended over 22,000 and lots of military equipment to gain 0.1% of the territory of Ukraine? If they proceed at the same rate the 500,000 may gain about 2.5% of Ukraine before becoming fertiliser and the battle hardened Ukrainian troops take their country back.
