Make your bed, brush your teeth, and try and aim for a good posture. Profound advice.
In fairness, the advice to pet a cat you encounter on the street isn't bad and might calm down some of his extremely angry disciples.
What a shock, Emmet Spiceland thanked that post 😀
His self help book 12 Rules for Life is very good, filled with sensible advice and has helped a lot of men in particular.
Last one should be Michael McIntyre
It’s not inexplicable, but Jordan Peterson. A charlatan and a grifter selling snake oil solutions to stupid young men.
More examples of "inexplicably" can't stand, please :)
Anyway, I just thought of another one. James McAvoy.
I like the movies he's in, but just do not like him. Don't know why.

Wilder than Bridget?
I can't be arsed checking his name, but flicking through The Six O'Clock Show on Virgin One, the bloke that appears to be the resident male host. Blandness personified. And appears to fancy himself a bit.
Her personal life was pretty wild for your typical Irish woman of the 1960's. Shes an interesting character and as far as I know the last major living Irish writer to be directly affected by the stringent censorship that was in place here till about the mid 60's.

Spot on….shower of kernts.
The Writer Edna O'Brien.
No reason for it on her behalf, I've never even read any of her books.
But I can't stand her due to the ridiculous obsession a lot of media in this country have with her .In particular the Sunday Independent and the fact that they seemed to in awe of in her supposedly wild personal life in swinging 60's London and how apparently she had affairs with famous men. When in reality her personal life was almost certainly extremely mundane and uninteresting yet the papers felt the need to try and turn her into some sort of Irish "It girl".
Mary McAleese keeps popping her head up.....and I keep coming back to this thread.
To play Devils advocate, there is noting inexplicable about the vast majority of them (at least for me). Vogue Williams down can all be characterised as a bunch of attention seeking, self indulgent, narcissistic arseholes
Lewis Capaldi

There's a lot more, but they are the top 10 for me...
I don’t mind Mario on the Ian Dempsey show, short snippets, but my other half has dragged me to gift grub live twice and it was not good. Just don’t think he’s suited to live shows and long performances.
Liam Cunningham.
Dr Eva Ordsmond
Mary Lou McDonald
one of my Dads best friends is related to him and despite this has been pretty scathing of him…. Not just as a politician but on a human interpersonal level… Harris apparently is thought of quite ambivalently…
he has all the hallmarks and characteristics of an out and out bluffer….I’d imagine he’d spend an inordinate amount of time talking to civil servants about issues and formulating policies and positions based on what information he’s given as opposed to doing so from a standpoint of credibility, knowledge, intellectual integrity and leadership……
For me, in that category, it's Mario Rosenstock. He's just not very good at impressions. I remember a long walk to the Comedy Tent at the Electric Picnic one year, only to his terrible version of Roy Keane and immediately having to turn around and walk out, far enough so I didn't accidentally hear his voice carry through the air.
Do you mean Jamali Maddix? I wouldn't find him particularly hard to understand, although he can speak quickly in starts, sometimes.
Agreed. His impression of Tiger Woods in particular is atrocious.
That said he isn’t as bad as Callan, a man whose “material” is about a funny as having to bathe an elderly parent, and who is so useless at mimicry that he actually has to name drop who he is about to take off in advance - “what do you think about that Michael Martin?”
Impressionists are lower down the entertainment ladder than even wedding bands.
I would have thought that was explicable until recently now I’m starting to possibly enjoy them trolling the big sports organisation
Conor Moore

Rory McIlroy.
That Emerr O’Neill needs some serious silencing. Sorry that’s not inexplicable at all!
