Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.
The Commitments - 7th - 19th February (Olympia Theatre)
Elton John - 28th/29th March (3Arena)
Absolute gack bar Honey Dijon and George Fitzgerald.
Eric Prydz bound to attract a load of Canada Goose wearing pikey scrotes.
Feel the same but it's a bit like the Principal Skinner out of touch meme :P
Eric Prydz?
Its just a load of bog standard DJs and Instagram addicts flashing peace signs dressed in Zara clothes.
I don't remember FF being so dance heavy. Not much different from Longitude now, pity MCD didn't push ahead with that new festival. Possibly held back with the crowded market.
Forbidden fruit lineup makes my eyes hurt.
Very little likes or interactions on their social medias.
Don't like the movement they've taken.
Next year I'm hoping for a better direction or MCD to run a fest from kilmainham on bank hol.
Between this and ATN POD are falling down the ladder.
Still think there's a gap in the market for a All Points East style day festival here. Not too impressed with line ups of festivals here so far, not that I'd be going to Forbidden Fruit or Longitude tho!
That new festival not going ahead?
One would imagine it would have been announced by now, but who knows
Looks like Wilco will be playing the Olympia in August/September.
Nothing seems to be announced yet but their name was included in a Presale text from Three today. They are playing End Of The Road festival in the UK end of August.
Beyoncé is skipping Ireland too. Why is all the big stadium acts not coming this year? Is it because of costs or just venues not available. Seems weird.
Is there news on her tour dates?
What venues you on about? Aviva wont likely take any concerts for 2023 because of soccer matches in June and Rugby world cup warm ups in August and Croke Park mightnt see many this year either.
Yeah they are leaking all over Twitter. 3 London, 1 Glasgow. Seems to be the only UK dates. Official announcement tomorrow.
Officially cancelled.
That shambles has come to its inevitable conclusion so
Two Door Cinema Club playing Belfast in April

Long dead overly flogged horse finally allowed to rest in peace
God help anyone who bought on a closed bank account.
The Oozes, Academy 2, Friday 28 April. If you like Amyl & The Sniffers check this lot out.
Tau & The Drones Of Praise, Grand Social, Thursday 20 April.
I did, Ulster Bank acc but luckily used to get physical tickets and point of purchase they closed since.
Beyoncé tour announced.
no Dublin date
With the dates there’s nowhere really Dublin would fit
championship is in croke park at that time
Yea I’d say Croke park wasn’t available. Missus will be gutted. Might look into a uk date for her.
Looking well in the picture tbf
Say Croke Park probably given concerts a miss after all the Ed Sheeran and Garth Brooks one last year
..
So thats Coldplay, Pink and now Beyonce that have ignored Ireland on their tours.
Odd.
Any know what's going on with the noel g/happy Mondays/primal scream gig? I've heard nothing in the last week since mcd said they announced it prematurely. Is it likely it will go ahead on the planned date but there's just a delay finalising?
Not really, every big act is not always going to play ireland.
pink last played in 2019 at rds, before that 2013. Not unusual for her to skip ireland on European tours.
realistically only Croker or aviva for massive shows, they have limited availability in summer due to matches and things don’t line up sometimes.
