41c for me for family plan ($145)...currency must have halved since Dec. as it was 79c then 😄....Argentina I'm with
$225 a month for me, using Argentina, works out at 1.11e, not sure how you got it for 41c?
Still a great bargain...
This what I have, it says it reverts back to Individual if I don't add a family member, can anyone tell me do I need to set up e-mail accounts for family members through a VPN in order for them to avail of this?
The emails I added to my family were existing email addresses so no vpn used but I'm on it over a year so maybe it's changed
Just got email except my payment isn't until 3rd. Went to update card but it rejected it.
I just used a virtual card, maybe that works?
Tried my Mastercard and it worked. Visa didn't. Both revolut
Surely related to this https://buenosairesherald.com/economics/peso-exchange-rate-loophole-gives-online-shoppers-thousands-of-kilometers-from-argentina-surprise-40-discounts
I signed up in October, it showed at around €1.00 at that time - what I actually paid is:
Nov €0.88
Dec €0.68
Jan €0.44
Now that makes perfect sense. I assume visa will be back on track once they sort the preferential exchange rate.
Yeah got the email, so got on the laptop vpn'd to Argentina and changed to my Revolut virtual card and if seemed to accept it, hopefully it will go through in the next day or so.
Thinking about it, I'm 4 days until renewal so they shouldn't have an issue with my payment yet. They've prob just emailed all foreign visa card holders
looks like it might be the end for this argentinam methid
Looking that way for me now, will not even let me into my account, says it is blocked. Only used it a few times a month at most anyway, so no big loss. I will just uninstall it off all devices as can't be bothered with the faffing about.
My payment is due tomorrow, will let you know how it goes
Not looking good lads
got we cant process payment a few days ago - apps still playing so far
Same boat here. Damn!
I've been using my KBC account since I first set this up. I have to move banks soon, will it not accept Irish bank cards now?
I just updated mine with the Revolut virtual card . The card was accepted and the card payment shows as authorised for me .
Looks to be ok now. Worth noting the Virtual card is a Mastercard so maybe it will help others if you try
I just did the same and it worked, my previous one was a virtual visa, so created a virtual mastercard, it went through with vpn disconnected at card entry screen
I'm used to having the Tidal integration in Plex, wasn't looking forward to losing out on that, so hope this sticks
Are all single-use virtual revolut Mastercards then?
no, I created a new virtual card and there was a mastercard option, previously I only saw visa as an option there
Don't see where you can choose visa/mastercard (I'm on the free revolut btw) but created a multi use virtual and it was mastercard by default. Hopefully this will work when my sub is due and the visa fails 🤞
Transaction just went through on my new virtual Mastercard, 77c for hifi
Revolut Mastercard virtual card was accepted. Delighted!
So I saw some email from Tidal in Argentinian and translated it and it says something about updating payment method...
Im not due to pay for a few days yet but decided to get it over and done with and update the card.
Downloaded TunnelBear set location to Argentina...Opened an incognito window in Google Chrome...logged into Tidal and added a disposable virtual mastercard Revolut which was accepted but Its a disposable card so guess will have to create a new disposable card every month unless Revolut offer a Virtual Card thats Mastercard
Just updated my payment details to my virtual revolut Mastercard, didn't use a VPN and it was accepted.
Payment due on Feb 6th, hopefully it goes through.
Just signed up there. Used Hola VPN connected to Argentina. I used https://whatismyipaddress.com/ just to validate that I was connected to Argentina.
I opened an Incognito tab in chrome to go to the Tidal website, and signed up using my Virtual Revolut Mastercard, and it all worked no issues. Now, Im on a 30 day free trial first, and then it will start charging, so hopefully that will work ok. I did get a notification from Revolut about a new subscription service being added.
One thing I wanted to do was to buy some Argentinian Peso on Revolut in advance, but can't see it listed as one of their currencies. So I take it that wnt cause an issue will it ?
My payment went through, virtual Mastercard.
In one year, 99 ARG has gone from 85c to 50c
Yes! Mine went through there via virtual Mastercard. I am nervous they are starting to cop on to what's going on. Idiots posting on the Tidal reddit which has employees responding to queries about paent being rejected and they are in the UK or US isn't going to help the cause.
As a backup have we any country we could move to if it does come to an end?
