you’d wonder would they not just be better off cutting their losses. I know it’s not what families would want to hear, they want the truth and the mystery behind this awful event to be uncovered. But, it’s unlikely I’d say that the aircraft, having hit the sea ( most likely ) at a serious rate of knots in an uncontrolled descent… that whatever is recoverable wherever it is would be of much use to investigators….
