What;s that got to do with Burke? Is he the gym teacher now?
Apparently he has no assets. I read that he was thinking of buying a house but had to save the deposit first.
He has refused a court request to provide details of his assets , I suspect that the judge will enforce that request at the hearing on the 10th.
He's a single guy, living at home with no social life that's apparent and gets driven everywhere by his father.
He has money saved somewhere.
I never understood why that expression is said in that order. the drawing part comes first.
If his beliefs are true then he's no traitor for standing up for them no matter what anyone thinks. He's obviously a bit touched in the head but he's standing for what he believes in.
His beliefs aren’t true though. There is no connection between homosexuality and paedophilia. Katherine Zappone isn’t a witch. Teachers need to treat all students with respect.
I would suggest he spend it on coke and hookers if not already doing, or considering, that.
You can multiply those costs by 10 plus ...
No, it doesn't, but its so far off topic as to be invisible.
It doesnt matter if you (or I) think they are true or not. I think it's a very dangerous place for society if the right of free religion (or freedom of lack of religion altogether, like myself) is not protected.
The only one in this talking about it having to do with religion is Enoch.
The courts have been quite clear on this matter.
No one’s stopping Burke following any religion he wants ffs.
What is NOT allowed, religion or otherwise, is to dismiss your workplace policies. This is an irrelevance to your religion and being (or not being) religious is not a get out of jail free card to do as you would like while in work.
No one likes rules, but if you like being employed you do what your told.
Im actually just getting sick of this shite at this stage defending the actions of a loony because he’s “standing up for what he believes in” if that’s the case what Burke believes in is a lack of respect for authority in the workplace, courts and so on. That’s not a cause worth martyring. That’s a road to chaos.
Not really off topic, the main theme of this thread seems to be finding new ways to punish Burke , I was just contributing to the conversation.
His beliefs have absolutely no bearing on what is currently going on. Unless you include his belief that attempting to bully his boss is acceptable behavior. Or his belief that ignoring having been suspended and then sacked is reasonable. Or his belief that his legal opinions supersede those of the courts.
But his case has absolutely nothing to do with freedom of religion.
No idea why the judge picked 700 quid. 700k should have been the fine. He's a creep hanging around a schools he's got zero to do with.
As I understand it, you were hung until almost dead, then dragged through the streets and finally then finally cut up, whether dead or alive.
1,000 days will see the fines reach that amount
Which, given his intransigence, is quite possible
The problem is the same as getting him to stop going to the school? How does the court enforce it?
What else is the theme meant to be? He can't keep hanging outside a school he has nothing to do with.
And he wont have any means to pay it, and will be put back in prison (?) which he has shown no problem with.
Yes it has moved past it now, to harassment etc but the initial action that brought this all to bear is that a religious teacher at a school of deeply religious ethos (supposedly) , raised a religious concern and was disciplined. Everything after that snowballed and of course is a different issue but it cannot be said that this whole situation doesnt stem from religious beliefs
Hahah but why not make it 700K for one day. He can't be let hang around the school like.
Well he had no problem when there was an easy out (purge the contempt) it has been said previously here that he might not be so funny when committed on a custodial sentence where he is in prison for a term he has no chance to leave at his own leisure.
Burke being in prison before wasn’t too dissimilar to locking himself in his own room he did have the power to leave when he wanted.
Yes, he had a disaggreement with his boss, but the consequenses
1) 108 days in jail,
2) Loosing his job,
3) Getting fined 700 euros per day,
hardly seems proportionate.
That is not accurate. He was disciplined for verbally abusing and physically intimidating his boss. Not for objecting to school policy.

Day 6 at Wilsons Hospital School.
Fines X 5 Days = €3500
The drawing part was you being dragged to the place of execution. then the hanging part, then the quartering.
Is he there today? I was going to go up and get a selfie with him.
Only the losing his job had anything to do with the disagreement with his boss, and that was only a small part in his dismissal.
It’s all 100% his own fault, and was 100% avoidable by him as well.
