Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
After 7 months of waiting I got an email today for an interview- CO grade III in HSE.
I am assigned for Revenue at the moment and now I am thinking should I go for this interview or not.
does anyone here have experience working for HSE and Revenue what would be your thoughts?
Just not what I envisioned..could be on phone bank all day ..I'd crack up
Wondering why not?
In terms of interviews they're in the 600s by now, believe it's batch 3. In terms for employing, it seems like they're in the 200s?
Just got placed in Revenue GUTTED totally not where I wanted
Is this panel closed now?
Hi there,
prepare something for a project you’ve worked on that your proud of. Can use work/ college essays etc. That one threw me off
best of luck :)
Hi all,
In the process of preparing out a few sample interview answers,
I've touched on :
1.Teamwork
2.How I stay organised
3.Confidentiality
4. Handling a difficult customer
5. How to priorotise tasks with same deadline
Does anyone who has recently interviewed have any more suggestions please?
Thank you!
My girlfriend is OOM 654 and just got called for interview 10th Feb, for anyone interested in where they're up to.
Probably answered before on this thread - after completing everything and getting appointment (dept) - how long roughly would you be waiting to hear your start date and exact place of work ? Please
you will be informed when Garda bureau will get your vetting paperwork, after that it might take 10 working days
Hi. I just sent back all my documents to PAS for Garda clearance and all that. At the minute I am being considered for a position. I do not know where yet. How long does it take for Garda clearance, check your references etc and also when do they tell you what the position is for??
Thanks 😊
Hi @TL123 , you need to provide 2 referee names/addresses, 1 at least have to be an employer( current or past) and the other can be anyone for character reference for you except family relation.
Did you have your interview yet ?
You retain your OOM from stage 1
Think that happens is most cases..
Did it say where you were on panel. I got my result said pleased inform you that have reached qualifying standard at stage 2 and will retain order of merit from stage one but didnt get number on panel?
Hi everyone, recently places in first 15 on kerry coco for clerical officer, just wondering what is the next phase please can anyone help? With regards to references how does that work is it one from your current employer or previous employers, any Info appreciated, thanks in advance 😊
Well you have to check with the job if you can do that but you would finish at 4.15 assuming 30 min lunch break
Hi everyone. I just have a question regarding flexi-time. If I start at 8:45am, what time would I be finished at? I know you have to do 7 hours, but does that include the 30 min break and the longer break?
Hi
I was contacted by PAS last week for vetting and reference documents, as I am being considered for a position. I returned the paperwork over the weekend and received a follow up email this morning requesting permission to contact my referee which is my current employer. Just wondering if this happened anyone else, having your current employer contacted before being offered a job?
Had my interview last week and got my result today, didn’t think it’d be so quick!
Quite quick , Garda did it within 10 working days. Whole process took around 3 weeks. Everything moved very quickly after new year, and I was assigned on the 20th of January I think 🤔
I'm getting a wee bit stuck on the teamwork competency.
Does this answer have to relate to a big work project undertaken? In my past employments, I wasn't really part of any "projects" as such. The closest thing was preparing templates for weekly meetings at work, amending these after the meeting, and distributing to attendees, so that everyone ended up with a clear and consise overview of the outcome of what was discussed.
I also double checked calculated figures for a department, and signed off on same.
It related to the core purpose of the role itself. ( I don't wish to elaborate too much on here).
I just said we started a new roster system that made the work load fairer for all staff and it ended up being rolled out in other branches. I made it up and waffled haha
How long did the clearance process take for you? :)
I'm in no rush anyways I'd prefer to start early April or something haha.
Okay, great thank you!
I got an email from publicjobs after 2 days
Hi guys,
how long after sending in statement of employment & Garda vetting approval did you find out where you were assigned to?
thanks!
Hi,
Thanks very much.
Tbh I'd be worried if I got asked to talk about any projects that I was part of that I was proud of. In my previous employments, my jobs didn't really include any big 'projects' as such.
What alternatives do I have here regarding an answer?
I got my placement from a statement of employment, they didn't contact my job.
