We all need to make compromises in life.
If an LGBTQ+ goes into a pub and the toilet options are M or F they need to pick one and get over it.
If a dwarf goes to a terrace at a rugby game they need to accept that getting a good view won't be as easy as the 6' 6" basketball player beside him.
If the 6' 6" basketball player goes on a plane he needs to accept getting a comfortable seat won't be as easy as the dwarf beside him in the queue.
If a person with allergens goes to a restaurant they need to accept the limitations of the menu.
And likewise if Enoch Burke has certain beliefs he needs to accept that he can't impose them on other people and it's him that must compromise, not everybody else.

By those standards children shouldn't be allowed any medical treatment at all.
Except we allow them to with their parents blessing. And most jurisdictions have provisions for when a child wants one thing but the parents don't. For example a medical treatment that goes against the parents wishes or religion but is essential to the childs health.
Childrens health is an ethical minefield but generally they processes, when applied correctly, work pretty well.

I don’t have a “dog in the fight” on this issue but I have been attacked on ppl on this thread for passing on info on how locals see the Burke family - apparently they are angry that ppl see the Burke’s in a somewhat positive light??
ppl seem to be very invested in the whole issue. Personally i don’t really care one way or other.
But I will say I admire ppl for standing up for their beliefs and EB is certainly doing that.
