Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
In Dublin?
Yeah - the Dublin only panel
That’s a bit strange then
Do you currently work in civil service?
Yeah, TCO at the mo - reference from my EO was sent off last Tuesday
Maybe there is a different process for you then, as I am new to this.
Someone a bit behind me on the OOM that I work with got notified the other day of their placement
I can imagine the feeling
Wow thank you so so much! I was getting so worried about that haha. Thanks for the info 😊
Me too @Daisyflower123 we got our wish 😅 but I'm away 24th and 27th. I just accepted the offer via email but not sure how to approach the fact I won't be in 24th and 27th.
Check your spam, my offer today didn't show up in my main folder.
Check it every day - if I don't hear anything by lunchtime tomorrow will email the case worker
Should tell them straight away you're not available and look for a different start date
Hi Congrats when do you start ? Where?
Thank you, 23rd of March and I haven't been sent the details yet. Just mu start date. Goodluck to you for next week
I just sent another email there requesting they push my start date to 28th so fingers crossed.
This is so true:) I’m so happy with those starting dates , hope you will get your days off sorted:)
Not sure, HR have to contact me.
Thanks a mill I am looking forward to it.
Does anyone know with the TCO open contracts in depts like DSP do they generally last a decent amount of time are is there a chance they could only last a few weeks or a few months? Just wondering should I keep my job hunt going?
Hi all,
I have a question.
Are positions in the permanent clerical officer campaign generally 'earmarked' for existing TCOs on temp contracts, or can anyone apply for this campaign, and still have an equal a chance at being offered a post?
Everyone is equal
That happened me too but the other person [behind me on panel] was in civil service already so didn't need garda clearance. I doubt they have forgotten you, it just takes time to check references etc
Does anyone have any sample questions that could be asked at interview? I'm really worried.
Anyone can apply and all have equal chances based on aptitude test and interview
Already in the civil service and still had to do garda vetting - they should have my reference and PMDS from HR by this stage
Emailed the case worker today at 1pm - haven't heard anything
Thanks fritzelly.
Any idea of typical questions that are asked at interview?
I done the TCO interview about 3 years ago, and wondering what kinds of questions can be asked under each competency?
They definitely are not "earmarked " for anyone
Each individual is judged on their own merit and marked accordingly.
They will ask you for an example for each of the 5 competencies you encountered in a job
They also asked me for a time I dealt with a difficult customer and a time I went out of my way for a customer
