I agree.
Also, when I look at houses, mostly on here 😁, I usually try to look past the decor/ furnishings iykwim. I'm thinking how would that room look with/ without XYZ, or painted in a colour I like or whatever. I don't like that idea of putting stuff in by photoshopping.
That house looks neglected, in the very first photo, imo.
Never understood why a person could have such a huge house and a small TV :)
Small house here and NO TV and before that, big house and NO TV....Happy ....
Am I reading this wrong, or are you saying Tory Island isn't offshore?
nice house this. Good BER. Grounds could do with a bit of a clearing but not too bad. Not ridiculously expensive.
That house wouldn't appeal to me at all. It still needs alot of money spent on it - I would rip the whole interior - its awful.
I also hate wood on the outside of houses - I cant see the appeal of it as it ages. Architects seem to love it though.
Nah, not confused. The lighthouse is overpriced. By about €3 million in my book but maybe someone will pay it.
The garda station needs a good few bob spent on it and I do realise it's in a quiet area but any cars passing, while possibly rare, would be very close to the house as it's built pretty much right to the edge of the road.
I wouldn't fancy a house that close to the road, even if there is very little traffic on it.
Black plastic laid down to stop weeds growing through
Reading it wrong.... I checked the ferry times! Watched so many programmes etc that at this distance in time I cannot quite mind if I ever actually went over or not. lol... I think I did!
This was deffo mentioned not too long ago here. It's kinda OK but has a real holiday home vibe from it.
If I was going to sell my property, I'd plan it better if I could. I'd get photos taken during the summer when the place looks well and not in the depths of winter when everything looks all dreary.
That place has been on sale for a while, the indoor photos are form the summer when it was first up, as the sun is shining. I guess they have relisted it with photos from the recent snow to try and drive more interest.
TV programmes?
Totally with you in all that. Although I woud love a lighthouse.. I fancy Fastnet though ..
Anyone for an abandoned 9000 sq ft McMansion in leafy Foxrock 🤔👻

That would have been a fine place back in the 80's when it was built.
It would be a fantastic set for a horror movie.
Make sure you keep your explosives well hidden if you decide to move in there
It looks so out of place in the setting to me, especially looking at the aerial pics.
They have been a long time trying to get rid of that house. (from 2010)
Look at the absolute state of those church style pointed window frames. It looks like a dilapidated Disney theme park hotel!
Yes, it's a sad looking sight, overall.
I'm particularly loving the green carpet in the bathroom with the open bath and drench shower (pic 14). Mould? Sure it'll be grand.
Interesting article here from 13 years ago, mortgage on this place was 6 million at one point!
https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/from-drinks-with-bill-clinton-to-struggling-with-a-6m-mortgage-26636396.html
surely they had mortgage protection, i cant fathom how the mortgage wasnt settled when the husband passed.
I've been to parties in that estate, that house always gave me the shivers
Mad money for rent but a lovely house and location
Probably a loan personally approved by Fingers.
I was wondering about mortgage protection too, when I read that article.
BER Exempt. Be nice and cool.
