I don't recall fighter jets been high on the list when they have their discussions. Sure there's not much else to ask for 🤣
This is happening regularly for months
It's likely they would be secured and eventually moved to a safe country for disposable
One wonders who the Russian federation republics would wish to align themselves with in future. Some are very small and might wish to stay within the federation but places like Tatarstan and Dagestan would probably wish to go it alone.
Looks like Challengers ETA is end of March but I presume training will start very soon
The Russian offensive has already started a few days ago in South Donetsk-Zaporozhzhia
Its going... not so well for them. Rebuffed already from several towns and villages near Orekhov and Huliapole
I absolutely agree, Turkey have a long history of engaging in genocide of their neighbours, be they Kurds, Armenians, it doesnt matter to those who seem themselves as the successors to the Ottoman Empire.
However geopolitically its important Turkey are both in NATO and aligned against Russia. A potential Turkey+Russia+Iran coalition of chaos is the opposite of what the west wants for the region.
Its a good thing that the Social Democrats back the Kurds, Turkey may well be a more potent and violent threat than Russia in years to come.
It's long conducted a campaign of genocide against the Kurds. It should have been expelled from NATO long ago for multiple reasons.
exactly,Erdogan knows this too,so we will see how the elections go if there will be another coup attempt like last time
Pleasantly surprised the Abrams could arrive in May. I assume the April delivery is for the physical German tanks and others could have theirs delivered and Ukraine trained sooner?
I'm just thinking, it gives Russia a date to launch their offensive before. If Ukraine doesn't have the tanks by then, I still can't see a Russian offensive really taking off. Launch it in March, 4 weeks later western tanks arrive.... Can't see the Russians taking a town, let alone a village in a month.
what becomes of the nukes in a broken up Russian federation ??
You wouldn't be surprised either if the Turks paid for it themselves, they were reluctant as is. They probably didn't but they will run with it as fast as they can.
There is no doubt Serbia is supportive of Putin and Russia.
The governing party is the Serbian Progressive party, the Pm is the only openly Lesbian head of State in Europe, not exactly your classic far right party. They have worked closely with the Serbian Socialist party in the past and off the top of my head may have been in power together.
Serbia has always been the closest culturally and religiously to Russia, long in to history, add in the Progressive party and it's a dead cert.
The future for Russia is probably either that it remains as a unitary dictatorship but hugely diminished on the global stage and much worse off economically or the federation breaks up (the future would be unpredictable at that point).
It was well planned move i would say.
When things calms down i am sure they will get to terms with it
Remember elections are coming up in Turkey soon and they still suffer with 65% inflation, and they are looking for F16 fighter jets from the US
I get all that and the beef Turkey has but seems an Ex RT jurno is in the background of all this.
It's largely due to Sweden's Social Democrats and their inability to put country before party. They are wedded to the kurds and would not drop support for them which enrages the Turks, especially with prominent anti-Turkish activists granted refuge in Sweden.
Kurds in sweden will jump on any opportunity to piss off Turkey, even if it stops Swedens NATO bid. The Quran burning happened on the same day as a pro-Kurdish/anti-Turkey rally also in Stockholm, which pissed off Turkey far more than a book burning. Thats the real reason the Swedish visit to Ankara was cancelled (by Turkey) and the toys are thrown out of the pram once again. Its always been about Erdogan wanting to isolate the kurds.
And although quite a large percentage of Serbs opposed Milosevic and marched against him multiple times during the 90s, many of those continue to harbour varying degrees of resentment against NATO. What finally worked in Yugoslavia to overthrow Milosevic (US-backed Otpor) unfortunately doesn't look like it's a viable option in Russia where opposition is not tolerated and all the NGOs have been purged. I think the future for Russia will be one of containment within its own borders and allowed to fester by itself.
I thought the burning was rather fishy In a member state wanting to join NATO. Then you have the Turks blocking it now.
Its well known that Putin have been supporting far right movements and organisations for years in Europe,so this isnt a surprise really.
Something he learned from being a former KGB agent stationed in east germany, even then he supported neo nazis and terrorist organisations to destabilise Europe.
They are actually doing Putin a favor by acting this way
Thats the problem, many denies the actual genocide and war crimes committed like you said, and cant leave the past behind them.
And they see NATO as the «enemy» because they were trying to stop the war crimes and genocide,so supporting Russia comes as no surprise.
That sounds like a case for Hercule Poirot! 🕵️
I was reading a good article recently about how Serbs have failed to come to terms with their past or acknowledge that their country may have been responsible for serious war crimes and genocide. They have a garbled view of their history and many (by no means all though) could be described as right wing Serbian nationalists. This would make them natural bedfellows of the Putin regime.
Just like when they were sent to Syria and one was blown up in the first few days before being returned to Moscow for there protection

russian military force's reaction to positive news on western main battle being sent to help Ukraine defend itself as expected is another attack on civilian targets just proving the decision to help Ukraine defend itself is the only way to improve the situation with signs that Ukraine air defenses continues to become more effective:
The Koran burning in Sweden has possible Russian links (article needs to be translated)
Well being Serbian,i am not surprised a fomer genocidal regime, ala Milosevic,is supporting another genocidal regime, ala Russia and Putin.
Serbians still see Russians as the «liberators» in the kosovo conflict
Some just cant leave the past behind them and move on,Serbia is one of them, allthough many Serbians doesnt even live in Serbia, but have immigrated to the west, and Australia being one of the places.
Sweden have suffered for many years from Serbian mafia gangs and organized crime

Srdjan Djokovic, the father of tennis champion Novak Djokovic, was filmed saying “long live the Russians” in Serbian alongside fans who were brandishing banned Russian flags at the Australian Open on Wednesday night.
In a video published on YouTube after his son, a nine-time Australian Open champion, defeated Russian Andrey Rublev to reach the semi-finals, Srdjan Djokovic is seen with fans who are carrying the country’s flags and chanting messages of support for Vladimir Putin. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/tennis/long-live-the-russians-djokovic-s-dad-filmed-alongside-fans-with-banned-flags-20230126-p5cfpn.html
I'm so happy Australia gave his son the hard time he so richly deserved and booted the little enitled prick out of the country. I wish they would now do the same with his gobshyte of a father. The apple didn't fall far from that tree. Albanese should say 'I was so inspired by Srdjan, Australia will be sending 30 Abrams to Ukraine.'
The Russians would do well to get a T14 Armata to the front in the first place
Their development issues and corruption surrounding them has been known for a long time, I cant imagine anyone at the MoD is actually relying on those as their wunderwaffen to win the war
