Get a free VPN and watch BBC Player, its pretty simple to do.
Monaghan v Armagh is blocked on the BBC iPlayer here in the RoI. Must say I think this is very unfair for Monaghan people who can’t get to the game and are forced to fork out €12 to watch it on GAA Go, while their neighbours in Armagh can watch it for free on the iPlayer.
I have no problem paying to watch football and hurling as i have bought gaago season pass.
But the gaa is suppouse to be all ireland sports body so how they justify an armagh supporter being able to watch the game tonight on bbcplayer free of charge but a monaghan supporter living a few hundred meters over the border has to pay €12 to watch it.
Surley the gaa coud have got rte to show BBCNI coverage on rte news channell?
They really do offer a fantastic service
Yeah RTE have Mayo/ Galway, tg4 have Dublin/kildare and donegal/ Kerry.roscommon/Tyrone and cork/meath live on either tg4 player or their YouTube channel, both are shown deferred on TV.
Yeah. Might have to download the TG4 app.
Does that GAAGO screengrab mean that TG4 will live stream the Sunday games they are showing as deferred coverage on their TV channel? Ros Tyrone and Cork Meath?
Are they on Irish TV ?
GAAGo are always locked for games on terrestrial.
Only the Monaghan and Armagh game is available in Ireland. The rest are geoblocked.
Games available on GAA Go this weekend. €12 a game (steep enough IMO). Season ticket €79.
There is a lack of clarity and there isn't any reason that shoud be the case as presumably all this was discussed when the deal was made. The opening weekend of the league should be given some prominence and this game will as good as any.
There is a good chance we simply don't have 30+ camera teams (even bad ones) in Ireland.
Just to be clear on what i meant it wasn't available in ROI on GAAGO earlier in the week it is now.
I do not think it will be available on iPlayer, nothing is. It may be available from the website streaming, but they are advertising the iPlayer and hardly mentioning the website, so this will cause confusion.
Earlier in the week it wasn't available i'm pretty sure as i checked when posters queried it been available in ROI on the BBC Player.
A few quid to be made off it I'd say though.
The camera work n commentary for the McGrath cup was far from world class
Resources I'd say, 16 games a week in the football and 17 in hurling is too much for them to cover I'd guess
Anyone know why not all the matches are available on GAAGO.
Even the McGrath cup games in Munster were available and its really only a warm up tournament for the league
My apologies then, it was stated elsewhere that it was not.
Monaghan and Armagh is on GAA Go this weekend in Ireland.
Not necessarily, there have been games on the website before that were not blocked, schools games and the like.
I can see that from the BBC point of view, but if that is the case then why would it not be on GAAGo?
Of course its going to be blocked. We dont pay BBC TV licenses in the Republic.
I’d say the same rules apply to the website as the iplayer for live streaming. The BBC Sport NI website does have highlights clips of Ulster club games which aren’t blocked here, so the same may apply to the league games.
The iPlayer will not work in the 26 counties, will the BBC website stream work? GIven that it is not on GAAGo in these islands then you would expect so.
8 national league games in football and hurling to be streamed on the BBC iplayer.

Contacted them (and bbcni) via Twitter. See what happens.
Did you send them a email for clarity?
True. However here is the fixture on the GAA website. It says “watch it on BBC iplayer”. The GAA needs to clarify where it can be watched, or not.
The GAA is a 32 county organisation. The BBC, on the other hand, isn't.
Normally yes. So if it is blocked in the South I can see Monaghan people who can’t attend the game not being too happy when their neighbours in Armagh will be able to watch it. The GAA is meant to be a 32 county body after all.
