You cannot invoke article 5 as the aggressor, and Estonia trying to attack Russian ships which have the right to transit Estonian EEZ (not territorial waters) would see them as the aggressor.
Obviously, Russia uses every tiny thing for propaganda. The next pantomime will be aircraft. Then ATACMS.
That's not how the world works. russia blockaded grain shipments for example. They had no right to either.
Solovyov looks dog rough btw. On drugs perhaps?
Not attack - inspect. Estonia checking shipping in its territorial waters is not attacking. If the Russians refuse the inspection forcibly... then that's an attack.
Kiev was a feint!
Australia doesn't need any tanks - period. Despite answering the US call to arms every single time asked, since Vietnam onwards, Australia has not used a tank in a battle since Vietnam. I'm open to correction, but that's what the limited time I have spent looking, suggests.
So not having actually used a tank in anger in 50 years, I'd say the prospect of Australia needing a tank in the next 2-3 years is zero. There was a very good piece by an analyst questioning the M1A1/2 suitability entirely, pointing out they are too heavy and difficult to deploy, hence even the US marines ridding itself of them entirely, even with the US's prodigious infrastructure and logistics capabilities.
Russia did so by going to war with Ukraine.
Are Estonia prepared to go to war with Russia in order to block their ships?
Can you provide a source for Estonia only wanting to inspect and not "block" ships from transiting?
It's never been tested,
Who Said they would be attacking ships they can board and inspect ship it they chose, blockades can be just as effective
A blockade is an act of war.
russia already did that so what now ?
They are already at war with Ukraine, duh
No they are not "special military operation."
Sanctions, refusing to allow Russian aircraft to use airspace, refusing to allow Russian ships dock
It's much of a muchness really
More details starting to emerge about main battle tanks for Ukraine from the USA:
Thats a seperation scheme for shipping, just like the english channel, where UK and France have the legal rights, same applies for Estonia and Finland
was that before or after and I will use the word loosely more "reasonable" speakers on the show ?
There's definitely something up with him. He doesn't look right - like he hasn't slept for three or four days or something (I guess being a Putin propagandist has its limits when everything is going against you).
How can you be the agressor in your own territorial waters?
Are Ireland the agressor if they bord a ship suspected of carrying drugs or weapons?
They have every right to bord anyone suspected of something illegal
Imagine that.....
Reflecting political realities, more importantly she is reflecting what I and others have said early on in this thread.
🤪
Carful now they will send a sunken ship to destroy the customs boat.
Thought that was on fire due to smoking
I think the fire went out pretty fast by all accounts.
Columbian marching powder?
Looks like everyone has cottoned onto free upgrades Nothing bad about that either. Ukraine can flog them like a teenage joyrider.
More on the Russian attack at Vuhledar.
There are geo-located videos of Russian shelling and the use of what look like TOS-1 thermobaric munitions. Looks hellish.
Are they actually real though. They look like t90 with stuff bolted onto them. Like legit steal plates to change the turret shape.
31 Abraams
Not great, not terrible. Hopefully the taps will increasingly open.
Next time the Russians hit a residential block, up that number.
Thermobaric weapons are pure evil.
