My last comment was in relation to the abundantly obvious trait of the Burke family in that they are incapable of accepting any alternative view points.
They are utterly unwilling to accept that someone else has a view or opinion that is different to theirs.
Everything about anything they have ever done publicly has been framed around "We're right , you're wrong - Just do what we want and stop challenging us"
That displays a definite lack of empathy , emotional intelligence and an utter inability to compromise.
Their immediate response to any challenge to their world view is the Nuclear option rather than making any effort to work with people or indeed to work within the confines of existing processes and procedures.
The question about the Amish doesn't really apply here.
The Amish do their thing but equally they appear perfectly happy to allow everybody else to do their thing , they just don't want to be part of it and that's perfectly fine.
Amish people in general aren't down in the local town holding placards shouting and complaining about how their neighbours live their lives to the best of my knowledge.
The Burkes however don't just want to do their own thing , they appear to be on a mission to make everyone else do what the Burkes want as well and that and only that is why people have a problem with them.

I’d like to know the teachers unions view on this, and I can understand why they wouldn’t want to comment in an official capacity as they are not involved and Burke isn’t a member. What I want to know is why are you or any other poster, particular AndrewJRenko so sure it is made up?
They seem unable to participate in certain aspects of life. They think their opinion is paramount to everything else, including the law. that is not normal or well adjusted behaviour.

Nothing on any media website I'm looking at indicates he's given up and left yet. Presumably if he isn't gone by lunchtime, the school won't be able to let students out for fresh air at lunchtime so he doesn't come in contact with students. Which, obviously, isn't fair on students.
Or if they do open the doors at lunchtime, they'll need to have somebody prepared to act as an obstruction to him getting into the building. And he'd only love the attention of being escorted out of the building while the media are present.
I really hope for the students and staff this isn't going to become a daily occurance.

I don't know how teachers unions work, but in order to have an official view on this they would presumably have to meet and agree this official position and this would have to be communicated to the wider membership in a circular etc.
They certainly wouldn't be communicating to their membership via anonymous sources to a journalist.
It is normal for them as for other denominations around the world.
So say you drive onto the grounds of my house today and I tell you that you or anyone accompanying you are not welcome onto my property henceforth.
If you come back later/the next day/sometime in the future and drive onto my grounds, despite you being aware that the owner of the property and land has notified you that you're not welcome on said property, are you saying that you would not be trespassing?

Continuing to show up at a school from which he has been fired is weird.
Point of fact: He was not fired because of his principles, hateful as they are. Regardless of how much he wants to pretend that is the case. He was fired because he is unwilling to act like a reasonable human being. He was fired because his behavior was unprofessional. Possibly he would have been fired for his principles if he refused to abide by the rules of conduct as set down by the school.
But we will almost certainly never know, because when his objections to the school policy did not result in that policy being changed for him instead of acting in a civil manner and going through the proper procedures he threw a fit. He was jailed because the court issued an injunction requiring that he not present himself at the school and he refused to recognise the authority of the courts. That right there makes him a criminal.
And yes, he and his family are evil monsters. They are cut from the same cloth as the Westboro Baptist nutters.
I've seen them on the main st of castlebar. They sing xmas carols at xmas. But in-between the carols they scream stuff about god at the top of their voices through a really loud megaphone.
Why don't the media ignore him and just leave him standing around. The more air time he gets the greater his ego gets.
What a gobshite this fella is, if he is trying to make a point about his beliefs on trans people, thenhe has made an absolute haems of it. He was sacked because he verbally abused his boss in front of a load of staff and students and is now showing up to his former workplace in breach of a court order thinking he is Jordan Peterson
