What the largest polls on gender expression in Ireland, over the last four years, have shown is that there isn't a huge majority in favour of anything.
In Ireland and Britain both though, there is a majority against a-là carte gender identity and that legal gender changes in particular should be backed up by medical intervention, Doctors certification and two year minimum of living in the acquired gender.
In America, opposition to ever being able to change your birth assigned gender, stands at 60%...
So, after all, Burke's opinion may reflect something of a majority, or at least a significant cohort, but again, the dismissal was nothing to do with his opinion, it was all to do with his personal conduct.

It would appear at this stage that Mr Burkes campaign has done wonders for the acceptance of gender neutrality throughout the country.
It has been a total disaster from day 1 of this for the gender ideology movement.
A high profile story like this is the LAST thing they ever would have wanted.
It has been exposed time and again that where we are now in respect of gender fluidity policy has gone on completely uncriticized in the main stream media till now.
Anyone who thinks that hatred of the Burkes is in some way an endorsement and a win for the gender ideology movement has no idea what is actually going on.
What makes this worse for them is that this particularly story involves an adolescent, again the last thing they would have wanted exposed in the media.
Enoch needs to strike while the iron is hot, if he had a media savvy person at his side he could get onto a few celebrity shows and try to convert a few of us sinners.
Seriously though he is an absolute ignorant selfish pig to carry on like he has over something so avoidable. He has shown no concern for his pupils who are still only growing children trying to find their way in the world. I care little about gender stuff but for him to create this fuss over it has now left the young person open to bullying and ridicule by asshóles in his/her peer group. I've laughed away at the fool but his effects on the teen involved show him up for the heartless idiot he is.
As for the vetting, convictions alone don't necessarily prevent someone from teaching. Now I can understand schools/ universities refusing someone because they have convictions but that's mostly due to failing the 'Is he/she a good fit here ? test' because of having the convictions. There are some organisations who employ people to teach who had convictions from their earlier years and have been away from trouble for a length of time. Obviously though sex related convictions are thankfully a no no.

As Burke is not a member of either Union, it is understandable that neither union would want to make an official comment on a situation which does not involve them.
“Union sources” means the reporter asked his brother-in-law teacher who once went to a union branch meeting in 1995.
The reason why the source is unable to comment in an official capacity is because the union has no official view on the matter.

I feel sorry for the pupil at the centre of this. I’m surprised that they haven’t looked for a barring order against him. Turning up everyday refusing to leave etc, were it a domestic situation there’d be a barring order and gardai enforcing it quick as a flash.
