Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.
The Commitments - 7th - 19th February (Olympia Theatre)
Elton John - 28th/29th March (3Arena)
Anyone trying to get presale for The National?
Ticketmaster site/app seems to be having one of those days. ie not working at all
Came here to post the exact same thing. Have hotel booked. Thanks in advance if anyone has a spare code. Pa.
Has anybody got a 3plus presale code for the The National as the 3 arena they are not going to use and would be happy to share?
..
Yup, MCD jumped the gun on Noel Gallagher. No tickets on sale this week at all
Surely you mean thank the GAA
Other side festival in Slane announced Bombay Bicycle club, Cmat, Sbtrkt, Confidence Man and more
Ticketmaster and mcd deleted all social media posts about it. Looks like they jumped the gun on it.
could be something like RHK/OPW didn’t give formal permission yet for concerts that weekend.
Anyone know what’s up with the Noel Gallagher gig? The presale was supposed to be today but no emails sent and MCD’s web page for it now leads to a 404
Anyone see him when he was here the last time? Worth going to?
Yep think so too, last time she played Croker was not a success . Thousands
of empty seats , so no way more than one night if that at all .
Yeah looking unlikely I'd say unless they did before their London gig but probably slim chance of that.
the Venn diagram of audience of EP and AFX is small and is ever decreasing. For EP bookers perspective that €250k afx fee is better spent on acts that EP audience actually care for.
I disagree I have been trying to get him to the Picnic since 2011, honestly he hasn't played an indoor in Dublin I think since 2001 in Templebar. Where could he realistically play in Dublin these days that's indoor. The name of the festival is Electric Picnic. Aphex Twin indeed is... An Electric Picnic. 😊
Chris from Foo Fighters playing Whelans in March
The Strokes in France that last weekend of August so the hopes for a weekend show here are gone already unless they do England on Friday, Dublin Saturday, France Sunday. Not impossible, but unlikely I would say
Two week gap in early May fpr beyonce in Croker
Im sure they can fit her in in May or early June.
DMAs playing Olympia in May
West Coast unfortunately.
I presume all the European gigs are sold out are they? Wouldn't mind travelling to see them if there's one that suited. I can't do the UK dates unfortunately. Milan, Portugal all seem complete sellouts yeah?
Yeah they ain’t coming. Think we can blame the GAA for that.
She is touring Europe in May/June. Isn’t Croke booked up until August?
She is announcing next week apparently. I think she will skip here this time.
Coldplay announce US East Coast dates
thats that
From € 59 according to this.
But i’d guess, standing would be €75 ish

Anyone know or want to take a stab at prices for The National in 3 Arena? 70ish quid?
Even as a fan of the support acts all i can think is 'Grim scenes'.
The Strokes instead of LCD would be a massive letdown. The only saving grace i guess is money saved pre-Picnic as i wouldn't be enticed to buy a ticket for either gig.
Also the 7 in 2022 actually consisted of
3 from May 2021-April 2022 planning year
3 from May 2022 - April 2023 planning year.
And a bonus one sought and approved.
I was quoting the law to highlight that Croker licence doesn’t apply to boxing matches though I’m sure a resident org could try to bend the meaning to try to include it.
The 3 per year is very well documented, but there were 7 in 2022, and 4 in 2018, so clearly, exceptions are being made
The Strokes would be great, particularly if it was a Saturday
