I think you guys are forgetting it's on an island. I like peace and quiet too but it would have to be on the mainland(Westport or Newport area same clew bay view) as some times I get it in my head to go for a drive or go to Galway or Dublin. Not even planned just on the spur of the moment like fúck it I'm going up to Dublin.
Plus you'd have to plan shopping and such. Not for me at all. Now if you are rich and own a helicopter well then yes an island location is good for you.
I'll go splits with you!
I'm obsessed with the sea and lighthouses this would be my dream. And in Clew Bay to boot!!😍
ETA - above was posted before I even clicked on the link. Wowzers!!! It's a beautful house, never mind its lighthouseishness, or location..... but it'd be like keeping the Forth Bridge painted, you'd get to the end just in time to start all over again....
The first ( but probably only) thing to go would be that picture in pic 19...... imagine waking up with that behind you every day.....
My absolute dream... One of the little outbuildings would do me fine... Just.. sheer heaven. On a small offshore island now so
LOVE the Clare Island one though.
I would love it. Where I am I am way isolated and the nearest house a couple of fields away. But yes that nearest house is TOO near for me.
I really fancy a lighthouse.
yes please. let me check my piggy bank.
Anyone for a lighthouse on the Wild Atlantic Way? You'll need a big cheque...

Lord thats bad. It hope nobody was living in that recently.
I would think they didnt have any money left to put in the steps. It looks like this started out being a dream house but then they ran out of money to finish it properly or maintain it. The grounds dont seem to have been finished at all. The decor and furniture dont do the house justice either.
I didn't know what you were talking about looking at the first few pictures. Gets bad, quick
Maybe I'm wrong but doors like that I always seen with a step
I had a good laugh at this one. I love the EA’s humour:
The property comprises a detached single storey bungalow in good decorative order and condition.

are they unusually high? they look about the same height from the ground as my front door.
Yeah, seriously, WTF with the furniture. They've managed to look every spacious bedroom look small and cramped.
Picture 50, would you not put a step on those 2 doors? How do people not mill themselves using them.
Beautiful surroundings but I can see why you might want to move with two babies to consider, it would not need too much global warming for the river to be up to that plastic covered bank. Presumably they are trying to kill weeds in hope of growing grass, it won't work and will be impossible to cut. Maybe cover it with a rampant creeper like rubus tricolour, though that can create its own problems. Best solution for there though, but they would have to remove the membrane.
Wow it does have alot of sofas. Alot of waste space in that house - they seem to be sticking in furniture for the sake of it.
Maybe would be suitable for a B and B if in the right location.
what is the black plastic on the slope at the back of the house?
More chairs and couches than a furniture show room. Seriously, is this where the Sofa King lives?!
And then you'd be upgraded to a lovely (but shared) prison cell! Madness that a prison cell is an upgrade in a sense... Surely that hallway apartment hallway is illegal?
That place is so depressing that I'd probably end up a murderer or something like that after living in that poxy place.
You see much worse in the various Manhattan apartment tours on YouTube.
It’s still not great though. What will it take for Irish landlords to put in wall beds and decent storage in small spaces!!??
That prison pic is sharing too. You can see the bunk beds and then the two chairs. Maybe the first night attack your room mate and get put into a single room and rinse and repeat until they say he is a problem prisoner and you are in a single cell until release.
Yeah they are nice, but I was always sharing in any of the prison’s over the years. Would much prefer my own place.
The cells in Wheatfield are nicer
Is the crying chair included?
Where do you shower? Do you wash yourself with a sponge in the sink or is there a shower other rooms share?
A great situation... pity about the close neighbour though
I'd live in it. And it's actually reasonably priced these days. Everyone is looking for a fortune for their studio's/granny flats/apartments.
What puts me off it is no where to park my car and then the shared entrance/ hallway.
This is 622 a month in Dublin: https://www.daft.ie/for-rent/studio-apartment-flat-3-65-aughrim-street-dublin-7/4589458
No wonder they put up about 30 photos of the outside, its lovely. But christ that is one pig inside.
Over a mill to but and you would still need a tons of money to make it liveable.
