Yea studs are ok ..it's a mix of dress code ..casual to very glamorous...just do you ..just don't look a mess ..
Fingers crossed we hear something this week.
My clearance is done, they don't give the outcome in the email, PAS will contact me with the outcome, should be ok as I passed vetting 2 years ago for the prison service and that way waaaaaay more in depth.
Hi all has anyone gotten Revenue?
A few from here already if you check back on posts.
@Iseedeadpixels cheers for that 👍👍
can someone tell me how long it takes from getting results to being assigned a department and going through clearance.
Im at 7 weeks since getting results, clearance came back today, so hoping to find out my placement this week.
Hey, sorry if this is the wrong place to comment. I applied for "Clerical Officer in the Civil Service Dublin" in October and I had my interview recently.
What comes next if anything? I felt the interview went well, is it just a long wait now or will I get some information soon? Isn't a big deal regardless just unsure so thought I'd ask here.
You'll get an email confirming you passed the interview stage in a week or 2, then PAS will contact you regarding Garda vetting and work statements.
Thanks pal :) does all that clearance last long or is it depending on the department etc?
Best of luck. What's your OOM, roughly? I'm mid 500s. Just tying to gauge whereabouts they are. BTW there's a separate thread for CO Dublin.
2 weeks standard dept, and up to 2 months for Garda or Justice.
I was in the 200s, if they keep going at the pace they have I'd say you'd have an interview in March.
Sorry there's another thread I'm new here, I'll move over.
Hi yes I got Revenue! Just waiting for assignment and start date 👍🏻
Thanks, one last question sorry.
If you had a choice between one of the departments and a separate position in like the hse or a regulatory body, is there one that's generally preferred in terms of career path?
@mother hens is it ok to message you?
Hi, I’m just new user, but I also got Revenue and now waiting for a start date and location. By any chance does anyone know what is the starting salary for CO as I can’t find information booklet online and I do not remember what was posted on it 🙈
There up as far as 539 in Dublin region for those wondering. I also put it in that thread.
€509 per week pre tax.
Thanks so then it looks like over 26k a year, not as much but it’s better than minimum wage
All payscales here:
And salary increases due this year:
The pay deal would see pay increases of 3% with effect from 2nd February 2022, 2% from 1st March 2023 and 1.5% or €750 (whichever is the greater) from 1st October 2023. This is in addition to 1% or €500, whichever is greater, due at the beginning of October 2022.
The minimum payment of €750 a year from next October means the package would be worth 8% to a worker earning €25,000 a year and 7% to a person on €37,500 a year.

Anybody offered anything in kildare/naas or Newbridge yet ?
Is there anyone still waiting on clearance for the limerick panel. I'm waiting 8 weeks now, anyone in the same situation?
Hi there, sorry I don’t understand it, does that mean it’s due to go up again from 509 per week ?
Yes as far as I know..
CO Salary goes up to 536pw (€27,881) from October 2023
Thanks very much!
HSE is not the civil service so you can't get assigned there from a civil service competition.
The HSE are actually running a clerical officer competition at the moment, closing date 31 Jan IIRC, there is a thread on it in this forum.
Civil service (which includes many but not all of the offices/agencies) would be better for career progression as you have access to interdepartmental competitions (some of which are only open to serving civil servants) as well as internal competitions in your own department. Also the option of mobility across the civil service once you have two years service.
