First time I’ve heard it, they are as mad as a bag of frogs. Why couldn’t they say they were related? They didn’t know if something was illegal but was moaning about it just in case!

They never apologised or admitted they were wrong for equating homosexuality with pedophilia and all their actions since then indicate they still likely hold these views so how are people wrong to still hold them in low regard and enjoy when their actions have consequences? Why in your opinion should they be forgiven and their previous actions ignored?

There is no appetite to remove religion from education because it might cost a few votes.
Burkes would know all about piling on easy targets, targeting a trans kid for their hate.
In any other profession employees have freedom of religion, the vast majority of teachers don't and can be fired (or not hired) on religious grounds quite legally, yet the teaching unions have no interest in doing anything about it. It's bizarre in what is supposed to be a pluralist republic, and the fact the taxpayer is paying the wages makes it even more bizarre.

I honestly think its mad that you could think there's a God, that creates us, but for some reason, he couldn't create transgender individuals.

I'm from Castlebar. These loopers were always in Main st every Saturday back in the 90's doing the homophobia is a sin, you're going to hell judgy nonsense they're always at.
And they have damn all support in Mayo. They're hated in the county.
Shocked you didn't do a google search before looking for people to elaborate. Apart from the college incident there are more very accessible online if you search. They have been at the forefront of protests for years in more towns than Castlebar and try to overshadow pride events regularly with these protests.Getting boring at this stage.
Does anyone know if the school's request was:
1) call student by this name
2) call student by these pronouns
3) Both of the above
If the request was just to call student by a specific name it's slightly different to a request to use different pronouns.
Burke was on a hiding to nothing with his behaviour towards the then principal at the school event. I think he may have had a case (legally) to not abide by the request and remain in employment, had he not behaved like this.
(Incidentally, I don't agree with Burke's philosophy.)

As someone who has staunchly defended the Burkes right from the beginning, you'd think maybe you would have researched the people you're defending a bit better?
Or are you actually going to claim now that you've been unaware all along of their history of anti-lgbtq campaigns over the years and especially where they attempted to link homosexuality to paedophilia?

Looking at the back page of Enoch's book, published by Burke Publishing, he lists a Bachelor of Theological Studies (TNARS).
A bit of googling suggests that was The North American Reformed Seminary, an unaffiliated online school. It seems to no longer offer courses.
This seems to be something someone who wanted to become a pastor in American style evangelical churches would pursue.
Enoch seems to have dropped the TNARS from the description on the Amazon page.
He could call himself a pastor or preacher without any qualifications presumably but you would generally hope to have more than your own family in the congregation.
