If you mean the Catholic priesthood, they’re not Catholics. They’re “evangelical Christians”. That’s a fairly broad description, and it could be used to describe people from various Christian denominations, and indeed none. I’ve never read anything that suggests they’re a member of any specific church.

The current Principal (Frank Milling) is not the same Principal that Enoch Burke chased around a public function (Niamh McShane).
Ms McShane took up employment at another school and moved to another part of the country during the summer, I believe. Ms McShane's move was planned and publically announced long before the incident on 21 June ever happened.

Although Burke, and by extension the family he comes from, seem to be rather strange people, the school has made some very poor decisions here. I wonder if enrollment has suffered as a result? If so the principal could get a rap over the knuckles or worse.

The entire family are as mad as a bag of cats. Nobody cares about their beliefs but its the fact they insist on trying to force them onto everyone else that people rightly have a problem with and every bit of abuse they get due to their antics is deserved in my opinion.

I'm not sure if there is a God or not. Assuming there is one and he has the power to create people then if he created a person as a man he intended that to happen.

Yes. I agree some of the hatred and vitriol against EB on this site was too much.
But you also can surely admit that EB and his family have shown disrespect to the students, the students family, the Principal, the School board, the whole school community, the judges, the legal system.

True, bit I lived there fir a while. Half the place seemed to bonkers crazy in a nice fun-loving way, the other half seemed to be conservative and scared of anything that was unusual or went against the status quo, so - mainly the other half.
Seemed to ge no in-between.
That said, it was a good ten years ago.
I think that’s a bit unfair on mayo. Yes like all rural areas it is a bit more conservative but talking to my mothers good friend from Mayo there isn’t any time for the Burke’s up there- they are universally disliked and notorious trouble makers.
