wonder if he’s gonna turn up on Monday to a job he doesn’t have anymore lmao
What should a Christian teacher do in your opinion in Christian school do with muslin, Hindu and other religions students in their class ?.. refuse to teach them because they are not righteous Christian. Wake up we live in country where religion is dying every day and children are not brainwashed by the church and make their own minds up. As I said in an earlier post my daughter friend is gender neutral and has changed her name and no big deal from teachers students. What you need to do is get away from the home schooling and go out into world and have a life, life is precious and for living in the future and not in the religious past.
We don't even know if te student is transgender - they opted for non binary pronouns.
Or a “happy ending” ????
..The student was created as god intended- transgender
QED
Hopefully that's the end of this saga...while I agree with Burke on his refusal to call the kid "they" his actions after the court judgment was totally wrong...
But their rejection is all part of God's plan, no?
..
Don't we also know that nature evolves and changes? Nothing is settled.
It might take a long time but everything changes (even if it's at a glacial pace).
You seem to be a little obsessed with surgery. Lots of trans teens do not have surgery or hormones.
Do Christian teachers honour trans students that don’t take hormones or have surgery?
With him being dismissed there's plenty more road in this story, it's pure gold. The family need to set up a podcast to let the country hear their point of view.
Aactually, it's both.
At no point has ANY media institution reported the use of horomes OR surgery, so we can assume the former - and your claim of conflict in ethos is officially debunked, as you admit here.
Biut seeing as you know how the students potential intentions reflect the will of God, then you must obviously assume the will of God in the first place!
Question now is, why?
Does it come with the Happy Meal?
Think I would rather buy a Mcdonald's.
Has anybody read the book?
Be sure to explain that in a certain Religious institution And please record the tomfoolery that will ensue. 😁
There is no such thing as God.
Organised religion and the invention of unseen gods, only exists to preserve the power of the few by maintaining fear and manipulation over the many.
The existence of two genders, in the human species at any rate, is a simple matter of science.
The evidence is 80 million years of primate sexual reproduction which brought us to this point as evolved modern humanity.
Its a settled issue.
🤣🤣🤣
Who are you to say God didnt create trans people and trans people affirming their own identity is self rejection.
1- The student was created as God intended, and is thus being honoured
If the student decides to change gender (hormones, surgery etc) then they've decided to reject themselves as created by God.
He could well win on appeal but the likelihood would be:
no reinstating
small payout
mostly based on process technicalities- nothing to do with transgenderism and religious beliefs
He might show up at the school, but that's not showing up for work any more.
He'll show upto work on Monday wont he?
….If you or I turned up at a school uninvited, I'd be hoping that the boys and girls and gender neutral people in blue would arrive and cart us away- I'll be very disappointed indeed, if Enoch turns up Monday, enters the building and they don't do similar.
You told me that Christians accept and honour people as they were created by God. So: either:
1 - The student was created as God intended, and is thus being honoured
2 - The student was not created as God intended.
Now, you also said that you believed there is a conflict between the school and it's Christian ethos, so that would rule out number one.
Which means you're implying what are and are not God's intention, or you admit to there being no conflicting ethos - which is it?
They pulled up the ladder on new teachers and plenty of them are not paying their sub now.
They are unorganized and out of touch with their members.
They most certainly are not what they once were.
2016: forked out €12k to do a 2-year PME that's useful for secondary teaching and sweet FA else.
2023: makes himself unemployable to every school in the country.
So now that he has been dismissed,
How long till he appeals
I guess I'm sowing my age and I remeber the strikes of the 80s Bad old days when teachers called the shots – The Irish Times
Absolutely agree 100% that no sane union rep would touch them, but the overall union and the power behind it would. You'd imagine that he was given the same invite to join the union as every other teacher and chose to ignore it, I'm basing that on the assumption that he would have objected if he wasn't
No sane Union rep would touch this guy or his family with a bargepole. This family is a whole set of grenades going off or waiting to go off and 99% of Union officials simply want the status quo to continue.
