Exactly what I’ve been posting for weeks.
Rumours of €2500 this year and gone next year.
Is anyone else having an issue with the "headlights after exit" option? I have turned mine off in the lights sub-menu several times, but every time I exit the car, the lights stay on. When I check, the option is still on despite having been turned off the previous time and the saved notification popping up. I prefer the lights don't stay on for any period of time after I exit the car.
Well the 1st 35 k euro Model 3 I'm aware off is in......
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/tesla-full-self-drive-model-3-2020/32293158 .
Yes it's an original non heatpump 50 kwh SR+ (albeit with white interior) but this would have had a €4x,xxx price a month ago.
Appears to have FSD too.
To help someone new to the Tesla world, is the real focus of the price drop here on later M3s?
There seems to be a noteworthy amount of negative sentiment to the 2019-2020 batch. Certain features, build quality etc.
Is the 2021 onwards just a better car?
I'm speaking as someone who had been thinking of a higher spec Ionic 38kwh or e-Golfs going for 30k.
Is ~35k for an original M3 considered a steal or still too much?
The real range will likely be disappointing in the context of what you'd expect from a Tesla.
Small battery and no heat pump really hurts it.
I've got 130 to 140 miles in my head from what someone was saying when these Model 3s were in their first Irish winter.
Hopefully someone with actual experience will be along to give an accurate figure.
I have a 201 SR+, zero issues with it in 3 years. Fantastic car, the software updates mean it's practically identical inside to a current 3 or Y.
Live near Dublin and can make all 4 corners of Ireland with one stop. E.g. For West Cork in summer one stop in Mahon, in winter Cashel or Fermoy, or Ballacolla for 5mins and Mahon if you wanted to stick to the more reliable superchargers.
In terms of features it has the faster performance motor, parking sensors, and adjustable Regen that a new car won't have.
It's missing the heat pump,60kwh battery, power boot, wireless phone charging (wouldn't work with my phone anyway).
He's priced it to sell, fair dues
Another thing the older ones have is adjustable lumbar support for passenger seat.
No heated steering wheel though. Thought I'd miss this coming from Ioniq 28 but with the remote preheating the car is always warm and the air is behind the steering wheel (as no speedo there) so didn't miss it at all
Have to say, heating steering wheel is just super the last few weeks, have it permanently turned on
New software update coming that will give high, medium, low heat settings or Auto like the heated seats for the steering wheel.
I find the Auto for the seats works well so hopefully this does too
Got that update a good while ago now, I think they roll it out with newer cars first, or maybe not, when I see updates and check them out online before installing there seems to be very few installs so car getting them fairly lively.
All I want from an update is for the car to remember my last audio source and where I was on it, they did it about 6 months ago but was lost on next update
I'm getting anxious over here. Initially my delivery date was Jan-Mar as most people. Now it says Feb 24 - March 12.
And Ive received an email from a Tesla advisor asking for confirmation on whether I'll be proceeding with the order.
Hopefully this means it's getting really close.
When did you order? thanks.
End of October.
For Tesla owners with white seats: are they are good or bad idea? Thanks.
@slave1 question for you, can you get the golf clubs into the boot on the M3? 🙂
I never thought I save a sj1t3 about having a heated steering wheel...until the last 2/3 weeks. Its freaking great :D
Ni problem with golf clubs, fold away trolley and shoes.
Generally speaking, thered be a big push to get evdrything out the door that they can at Tesla before 31 March (end of quarter).
Hopefully means you will be OK.
Yes, bag fits diagonally with club heads in the pokey "inlet" near the rear indicator cluster and bottom of bag into opposite corner of the boot. You have to "swing" the bag in but no bother. Wheels come of trolley and then trolley fits into remaining space in the boot alongside wheels and shoes.
Not a mad fan of the fake wood look so first go at covering using some left over fabric tape from home cinema build.
Before
After, I need warmer weather to "wrap" the tape around left most curves in the picture. I'll use a heat gun and take more time with effort two
That's a savage job
I have the dark seats on my Model 3, but like the white ones. Have had light seats on other cars, generally I found that they show light dirt such as dust and hairs less, but heavy dirt shows more such as oil, coffee, denims etc. But not sure if I like the white dash strip.
Gumbo posted the maintenance kit from Flawless Detailing in Dublin to keep the white white. Agree though, I'd never have it, the cream option for the S is a nice compromise between black and white
Has anyone who has ordered a LR since the price cuts got a specific delivery date range yet, or is everyone still at the generic Jan - Mar?
I ordered at about 8am on Sunday 15th Jan and still on the Jan - Mar estimate. Stuck in limbo with regards to selling/trading my own car, kind of annoying.
I ordered a white M3 LR with no options.
What did you go for?
Ordered Model 3 rear wheel drive during week.
Says EDD Jan -March but guy in Sandyford said it will be September most likely…
Would be surprised if delivery is going to be as late as Sept, China is pumping out an awful lot of them, also many people who originally ordered a 3 have changed to a Y.
Snap!
