Is the suspension in the MY LRs coming from China at the moment, inferior to the MY RWDs? I had assumed that all the MYs benefited from the change to comfort at the same time.
Also, (very) stupid question time. We test drove a white UK reg MY in Sandyford on Saturday. Based on info posted here, we specifically asked for the UK-reg car with the comfort suspension. On Saturday, we got the UK reg car and I then just assumed it had comfort suspension. But thinking back, there wasn't a parcel shelf over the boot. Wouldn't all the comfort suspension MYs also have gotten the parcel shelf at the same time?

Yes, all Model Y made worldwide now have the comfort suspension. All Model Y on Irish plates already by now, have the old harsh suspension.
Are you sure about the parcel shelf? On my test drive car it looked like it was missing from the driver's seat, but when I opened the boot, it was half undone, but it was there alright.
The 3 UK reg Model Y that I saw in Sandyford last Saturday all available for test drives were 2 * white and 1 * blue and presumably all were RWD with comfort suspension
I'm 100% certain I didn't see it, but not 100% certain it wasn't there 🙂
We drove a white MY and I opened up the boot for a proper look. The size of the boot is important for us. If it was there, it must have been fully retracted because I can remember looking straight into the boot and picturing how we would fit certain things and seeing all the way to the back seats.
The blue one had a parcel shelf
It's safe to say all the Model Y RWD we ordered here in Ireland will have parcel shelf and comfort suspension. Don't worry about it.

I would hazard a guess to say I think he meant, heated seats, steering wheel, and all the other tech stuff that comes with it.

This is exactly it - as in what safety features come as standard versus the extra, e.g. blind spot detection, cruise control, speed restriction, what type of regen braking. that sort of thing - your link above is bang on what i was looking for.
When I bought my Model 3 last February it was just after all the multiple updates, such as double glazing in front, Ryzen chip, matrix lights, Lithium 12V battery, power tailgate, etc etc. Because I bought an inventory car, I was a little worried that all the extras would be on my car. (Even though it was on the same ship with all the other orders).
I EMailed Tesla asking if my car had all the extras listed above (+ more). They answered more or less immediately in the affirmative, which I suppose put my mind at rest at the time..☺️
There aren't really any options on the Y other than Colours, tow bar or the EAP/FSD but don't buy these with the car as they can be bought afterwards if wanted.
I see what you mean, the Model 3 has some "more information" buttons that gives a little more detail and would be the same as the Y

There are no optional safety features with Tesla, you get all of them with the base car.
I suppose the ones listed above are the key ones for me - which i assume (which one should never do) is standard - cruise control, speed restriction, blind spot detection. Based on none of those features are detailed in the "add-on" options i assume they are standard.
We will likely get the towbar if we pull the trigger - for bikes more than anything.
The blind spot detection is not similar to other cars, with a warning light in the mirror. It is in the form of a car graphic in the driving screen. I think it will audibly warn if you attempt to overtake when a car is in the blind position but haven't noticed it as yet. I think my audible warning is turned on, must be a better driver than I thought..😉
Yes all cars have autopilot which is adaptive cruise control with autosteer. Works very well on main roads and use it on some slower roads that I know and that regularly have speed cameras 😁
Speed restriction can be set from the app or on the car, as in max allowable (never used it) or you can also have cruise without autosteering.
The Towbar on the Y can be added after if you're close to the grant limit. (Can't on the 3).
The driver profiles are great if you've more than 1 driver, remembers all your settings, seats, steering, temperature, heated seat settings, mirrors, driving style, creep or hold, Regen etc..
The only thing I miss is Cross Traffic Warning, or whatever it's called. Had it on previous cars, warned you if say reversing out of a blind car spot with oncoming traffic. Or if people were about to walk behind your car.
I know you should reverse into parallel parking spaces, but not always possible or practical.
There is Automatic Emergency Braking which probably only works with forward obstacles.
What did the other cars use, cameras?
You have a once off speed limit restriction you can set in a Tesla but it is not Speed Limiter which is not implemented yet by Tesla and at this stage I doubt they will do it
Side rear bumper sensors I think. Could well be available at a later stage with cameras I suppose.

Yes they are excellent and depend on whose phone opens the drivers door. Seats, mirrors, steering wheel all go automatically to your profile. As does heating preferences, driving preferences etc. No need to press profile on screen as on other cars. If two or more together it automatically goes to the priority driver.
It's one of the best features in my view too,driver profiles that is.
Very useful real life data there. I often do a 310km drive and back - by the sounds of it I might get away with one stop in a LR if I didn't drive on

As per my previous posts expecting way more traffic till mid February. Barcelona/Zaragoza route to be used for continent deliveries.
Q4 were approx. 19 ships from Shanghai to EU (over 100k cars).
This time will be hard to know where the ROI allocation is as it could be distributed as Tesla plans to ship over 2mil vehicles this year.
I did a test drive on the white RWD UK reg. I know unkel made a great review so not much to say. I felt the car is a proper family car nicely sized, easy to drive. Missing the audible warnings when parking which are available on my M3
The parcel self was there just not mounted. It was behind the rear seats. On the blue car was in its place. Quite busy. Practically the Tesla guy was taking the card from one driver and handing it to the next one. Model Y was the most asked for. We had a chat about delivery times and also been said "realistically September but could be before that." I bet is before that.
Thanks for all the help earlier today folks. Did the number crunching tonight and pulled the trigger on a RWD Model Y. Really looking forward to it.
