Sun screen as in the cream? In ireland? Big lol
What's weird about the 7 seat option is that in the USA, the 7 seater qualifies for the $7500 federal tax relief, whereas the 5 seat version doesn't. So when they configure the 7-seat version and it adds on the premium, it then deducts $7500, to make it cheaper than the 5 seat one. Ryan Shaw on YT covered this a few weeks ago.
Tempted by the model Y. I've got the MG ZS Exclusive long range that's only 6 months old. They are 39k on the road now. It's the one with the sunroof that you can't buy anymore. Plus there is an 18month waiting list. So it should be demanding a decent trade in offer.
@rx8 - "What's weird about the 7 seat option is that in the USA, the 7 seater qualifies for the $7500 federal tax relief, whereas the 5 seat version doesn't"
It does now...
I expected a price drop in the USA for just this reason, but I was not expecting a price drop in the rest of the world. Mayhem will come of this.
Well it's about time... some absolute nonsensical arrangements over there. ID4 wasn't eligible, but ID4 GTX was. Model Y was looking like it was going to take a big hit to sales if that continued.
Seriously, many have asked this many times on this thread alone.
Yes mats come with the car, just like any other car out there.
AWD Handling.
Front Fogs
Performance (with the option to up it even more with Acceleration boost)
Faster Charging.
I don't consider Range personally, so I haven't considered that in my decisions.
Not LFP, whatever the other one is.
Haven't had a screen on the glass roof on any of my Tesla's. That's what the AC is for :)
No, makes no difference in my opinion as the Trade in price i got for all 3 cars were before orders were placed. The Trade offer has a link to order and submit your trade in details then.
No. its tiny back there and I believe due to stricter safety laws in Europe, we wont get the option.
The MG dealer will most likely buy that car back from you, or a Taxi Driver!
for the model 3 yes but not for the model y.
my point: if take out the SEAI grant, to get a performance m3 will cost you 2k. where as the model y if you want performance it costs you 7 k. In 6 months time when the SEAI grant is reduced or removed in the future, it will be interesting to see how it affects pricing....
to the earlier point, i just want to know if anyone remembers the price of performance before the change for the model Y.
It was posted above, but to recap....€80k
No, the €54k is for the LR Model Y, both it and the 3 get the grant.
+1
Model 3 LR gets the grant and is €52,972 now.
€53 I think
I just noted that summon and smart summon is listed under enhanced autopilot. Does this mean normal autopilot doesn't have summon anymore to pull car out of parking back and forth only. Obviously there is no summon at present anyway without sensors.
€52,972 apologies!
That's right. Summon is only on EAP and FSD. I've had my car for almost a year and I've used it once as I was parked in. Was it 100% necessary to use it? No, as I could have climbed in on the passenger side. Summon worked perfectly though 😁 biggest remote control car in the world and I must have looked like a child on Christmas day operating it 😁
Summon was never on Basic AP I don't think.
I used it once on the MS in Woodies. Genuine use for it then.
I have never used it on the M3 other than messing with mates.
If it wasn't included it really should be, understand smart summon being on enhanced.
Save your 7.5k
most of your charging will be at home. Over a year you may save 5 minutes at a Super Charger.
that 2 seconds will just get you penalty points :)
455 should be plenty
In fairness its closer to 400 but again plenty especially with the good charging curve
RWD will do 350-360km. Not 455!
Maybe I’m mixing up smart summon and if there was ever a basic summon? But I don’t think so
The Model Y RWD will probably have a similar range to the LR charged to 80% (Not that you necessarily need to only charge to 80%.) But if you have the LFP battery there is no need to worry if charging with solar to 100% every day if sunny.
Perhaps I am talking rubbish..😊
fair enough.I’ve the 52kwh id4 and get about 340 in summer and 270 in winter which is plenty
350-360 will not be an issue.
No, you’re quite right. In theory. But you don’t have to stop the charging at 80%. Elon himself said 95% charging daily is more than fine. Obviously for best battery life, you should stick to 20-80% but that’s for everything, phones, laptops everything.
Just talking the WLPT (as fictional as they are)
RWD LFP @ 100% = 455km
LR @ 80% = 426km
LR @ 90% = 479km
But if you’re charging only every other day, going to 100% is fine. Especially if your driving straight away and not leaving it sitting there for days on end. I only charge my M3P twice a week at most. And I charge it to 100% given the chance as I’m in work anyway. But I’m driving it an hour later so never sitting there.
I find it's handy when charging on solar not to have to worry with my LFP. Often might not use the car for a few days (The advantage of living within walking/cycling to work)
I don’t have that luxury.
I export very little. My FIT for 2022 was only €150 and I have exact figures from Feb as I’ve had a smart meter for near 2 years.
