If going for LR, Model Y is only €1000 more than Model 3. Is it still better value in terms of standard spec compared to M3 ?
I don’t really need the space but I do like my toys. WLTP Range difference is only 60km which would rarely matter to me either.
Assuming same efficiency as my 221 RWD then the M3LR is 547km Summer, 474km Winter
My account is still showing the old pricing when I log in.
Give it time. It’s not automatic. Same thing happened with the price drop last year.
The only difference would seem to be the hepa filter on the Y I believe.
M3 LR would have better performance slightly too.
Great news this morning for most. The other car makers will have to compete.
Was thinking the same. Hopefully everyone is a winner from these price cuts.
They can't. None of them make a margin on any competing EV big enough to drop the price by thousands or they will make a loss. They could do, but that would be murderous competition.
Will have to go through with my order so. Model Y is spectacular value for money now.
Yep I was comparing LR to LR for 3 vs Y
for those who have a MY RWD incoming , are we all sure that the new price will be applied to the order or will a cancel and reorder be needed ?
what do you do if you want to change order to LR ?
Not taking any chances. I've ordered a MYLR this morning to hopefully get one of the Q1 shipments. My worry was that if the world and its mother order today, the waiting list will get long very quickly and we mightn't get it until Q3 after the grant reduction.
Do nothing Tesla will email you with a revised invoice that you accept.
This happened last year.
Newbies don’t panic.
And if you want to change to LR, still be patient and wait for email?
I'm not gunna lie, I'm a newbie and I'm panicking a little.
If you deffo want to change to a LR, I’d order now and just cancel the RWD and get that refund.
Whike Tesla will be able to swap and change it, it could take a week or 2 to sort out so by ordering now you’re in the first group of orders.
Im considering the same so I’ll be following my own advice if I decide to change.
*Thats not panic, that’s excitement 🤣
Are many of you going to change to the LR ? Think I'll stick and pocket the money and don't think I can add white seats and still be under grant anyway
€6452 cheaper for anyone who bought the Model Y with metallic paint. Thanks Elon, Friday the 13th will never be unlucky again 😁
A lot of info to take in this morning, So yes do we cancel or order a 2nd car now just in case... (If going LR that is)
Also will white seats come in under grant for LR?
Great news though as the drop in range from my current car was one of my main concerns
can you change anything without re-ordering and thus going to the back of the q ( potentially missing july SEAI deadline ) ?
I was supposed be doing dry January. Feel like going on the lash this evening now to celebrate. 🤣
Ive now ordered my second MY :)
had ordered RWD in october
now ordered LR
this is mad Ted :)
I know the feeling bro 😁
Is it still the case the Y rwd has the LFP battery which is recommended to charge to 100%? Don’t believe LR has that right?
Serious price drop, might upgrade the wheels on my rwd order now although half tempted to swap to LR although delivery date of April would be a problem. Missus would kill me. :)
Did you cancel your RWD order, or modify it to LR?
PS im obviously going to cancel one of the orders, once i do some rational thinking and track forecast deliveries of LR.
Decision Only going to cost me €250
The price drop in the USA means all Model Y now get the $7500 government subsidy too. That will be a devastating blow to the competition.
Feck it, I think I'll just stick with the current order, MY RWD in Blue and enjoy the savings and the Feb/March delivery. Happy Friday people 😁
Panic, Panic now

Hi all
Looking to move from a PHEV Outlander—a couple of questions for the owners if you don't mind.
Thanks and regards and hope you don't mind the questions
Bet you're not cancelling now! Eh? I don't know how you do it by the way but you're such a lucky barsteward when it comes to pricing and price drops.
