Has anyone got the link to this? It was advertised in my Dept but I can't see it on Publicjobs??
Finally, I got assigned to Justice :) Happy Christmas everyone and here's to a great new start to the New Year!
Congrats, any details of section etc? I got Justice too, waiting on security clearance to go through before I get more details. Happy Christmas and our paths may cross in the new year!
No, no details yet, same as you. Happy Christmas!
Look at us all getting Justice, wonder if our paths will cross!
Starting 30th January :)
That’s brilliant !! Congratulations 🎉
Did anyone do the interdepartmental interviews for Agriculture back in September??? If so how did you do?
Hi guys, for anyone promoted to a new department through this competition what happens to your annual leave? Does it get carried across or did you have to use it all before starting the new position?
@MaryRyan48 everything should carry across. I am moving Dept and have been told my leave and clock will carry over. My leave is back to full again as ours is January to December so I will carry that with me.
Same! Still haven't heard what section in Justice though
I was given a section but no idea of what my role will be etc...
What section did you get @Kittykat6
Dublin batch 2.3 has started to be contacted with clearance emails
I contacted PAS this morning and they confirmed they are on number 269 for the Dublin Panel and 25 for Kildare.
Is that for interview in January? I'm just after that.
Anyone been called for interview/presentation for Cork yet?
Anyone called for Cavan yet?
They haven't called anyone yet.
Hopefully soon, as the current panel expires at the end of this month as per Pas.
My buddy at work received an email from PAS yesterday regarding an assignment from the 2020 panel for Cork. They had been placed back in Feb. So there will hopefully be movement on this Cork panel soon
Just wondering if you have heard anything else about your new role in Justice apart from the 30th January ? I'm still waiting.
Hi just wondering if you guys got offered more than one department to choose from.
I really want to leave the organisation I work for but they are having recruitment & retention issues so I'd be worried.
Thanks
I got a location choice form and when I sent that back I also said that I would like to be retained by my current department if possible.
When I got my oom after interview my HR contacted pas and told them they wanted to keep me. All worked out 😁
You can also tell your HR that you don’t want to be marked for your department.
A lot of heos being recruited for the immigration department.
You will only get one offer unfortunately. My partner came very high up on the panel and got offered a horrible role with no benefits at all re flexi or wfh, enquired about another position as they were going to turn it down but were told that wasn’t possible. A bit sh!t to do so well and end up in a worse position but that’s the luck of the draw. They took it in the end but are counting down the days until mobility is an option.
in relation to the above has anyone who got promoted and swapped departments got their back payment from the pay increase sorted?
Not sure if you can guarantee but when you get your placing on the panel I would let them know straight away or asap that you don't want to be promoted in situ. Sounds like they review your file before assigning you the position so hopefully they could put you somewhere you would like to work! Best of luck 😁
Can I ask....when does the promotion pay start from? I'm not starting in my HEO role until 30th January but is it backdated to when you were originally offered it? Any insight appreciated 😄
If you haven’t got your lump sum yet you’ll get it based off your EO wages between February and October. Then you will have moved onto the new scale. You’ll get nothing based on your HEO wages.
Sorry I didn't phrase that great I was just jumping on the back of your lump sum query!! I am wondering when does your promotion pay kick in...is it the date you sign your new contract or the first day in your role? I'm moving department but my current department are slow releasing me... wondering will the HEO pay get backdated to when I agreed the move or will it not kick until I start the new role?
