Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.
The Commitments - 7th - 19th February (Olympia Theatre)
Elton John - 28th/29th March (3Arena)
Snoop Dog doing Belfast and Dublin arenas
Pusifer at Olympia on 10th June
Any idea where or how I'd get a Pre Sale code for this - Pusifer @ Olympia?
Seems there's an artist presale and 3 presale. Doesn't go on sale until Wednesday week though, so say information will come out this week
Meltybrains playing Sugar Club on Thursday 26th January. Tickets are 15e which seems very decent value.
The last Pusicfer album wasn't great. I hope to get to the gig though
Maynard doing double duty this year with TOOL playing a few festivals in the states
Non Irish
WWE returning to the UK for another PPV. 'Money In the bank' taking place at the O2 Arena London on Sat 1st July.
Bad bunny, Frank ocean and blackpink headlining coachella.
@Fanirish any insider info on that LCD Soundsystem gig that was mentioned here a while back?
Nothing since.
a lot of summer 2023 plans have changed in last two months. Costs of touring etc doing a number on a lot of prospects for shows. Promoters etc downsizing summer 23 plans
Badly Drawn Boy playing National Stadium on Thursday 20th April. https://twitter.com/TicketmasterIre/status/1613147100916613123?t=FQ__r8jqGS6eXcIoVHEJcQ&s=19
When was this annouced? Had tickets for the last 2 shows that were cancelled.
Was at Sweet in Frome late last year and Andy Scott commented that they may be sticking more to the UK going forward as a result of Brexit. Sounded like the paperwork and possibly issues over VAT on merchandise may make it more difficult for smaller acts to venture outside the UK.
Another thing to thank Brexit for..!
He's also playing Roisin Dubh,Galway and St Lukes Cork on Friday and Saturday 21st and 22nd April.
Does he 'shutupandplaythehits' or play mainly new songs (Banana Skin Shoes)?
it's a "30 years of BDB" tour so I'd imagine he'll be playing the oldies (he only has a few well known songs, though a lot of people bought his first couple of albums).
Cheers, just looked at Roisin Dubh site now and saw that (25 years). I'm in.
Just saw it on Instagram the day I put it in here. Think Ticketmaster put it on their story a few weeks ago
Wonder is the Katy Taylor fight the reason why no Croke Park gigs are announced ??
Still think the Weeknd should of been put in the Aviva or Croke Park
A boxing match wouldn't be a non sporting event now would it........
Maybe similar to concert timings and main event will be 9pm etc
No chance he could of done Croke park, 80k capacity too much.
aviva only works as a venue if a promoter can organise multiple shows over a week. Obviously not enough acts touring next June/July that they put into aviva to make it work.
Nothing likely in Aviva next summer. ireland have soccer games in June and few world cup warm ups in rugby in early august.
Strange that no Croke Park dates announced yet allright.
Coldplay and Pink have both snubbed Ireland and Taylor Swift is unlikely to tour Europe in 2023.
Beyonce looks like she could play there but the clock is ticking.
To be honest its no loss , its a horrific venue.
Lewis Capaldi for Belfast vital
Hope 'Sleep Token' play over here this year
Found by accident and really enjoying them. Great look that is a little bit of a trick as there sound is not reflective of it
The bar for this year has been set high early, the scratch blew the bollocks off the 3arena, Dropkick are what they are, an incredibly tight band who have been doing what they do for nearly 30 years. Just an incredibly fun gig where I both lost and recovered my shoe.
"Open the pit for Ronnie Drew"
Saw this on ticketmaster. ...possibly a test for a coldplay date at some stage?
