You can change the colour at anytime, but your playing a bit of a lottery then as a change can then be treated like a new order you may get bumped down the list.
When I was ordering there was some lads ringing Tesla and saying they'd take any color to speed up delivery time. I had a blue M3 ordered but pulled the plug after waiting 6 months.
But saying that I'd expect a strong inventory in MYs due to dropping demand in UK and the USS issue.

Well it won’t be from the factory as the car be in Dublin without it.
If you order it from the start, it gets fitted in the factory in China.
Otherwise just order from the online shop once you take delivery and they will fit it in sandyford. Only problem will be lead in time for the parts to arrive.
Tesla
Tesla ranger retro fitted a tow bar in model y at owners home. Seems straight forward. Time stamp at about 13 minutes in.
Drove the UK plated MY in Sandyford today and the guys there said new orders placed now would show a Feb / March delivery but there’s a good chance the actual delivery may be Sept.
Anyone else being told the same thing? Sept delivery would be a no-go in our case.

There's a good chance of picking up a spare inventory one in March if you're quick off the mark. Were a good few spare Model 3s in Septembers shipment but all sold in a day or so

parcel shelf standard, floor mats standard, suspension is comfort and there are no USS on the red RWD car in Sandyford.

First time in a Tesla and straight off the back of goes in Ionic 5, EV6 and iD4. Regen more prominent and overall just felt more substantial / heavier.
If the Feb/Mar date was guaranteed then it’d be the choice but can’t risk Sept so Ionic instead I think.
Regen was more prominent in Tesla or others? Tesla regen does not work properly until car battery warmed up, which can take a long time in cooler weather.
Nothing is guaranteed, with Tesla's delivery dates much more reliable than Hyundai's!
Chances are that there will be cancellations in March and if you order now, you might get one. Anyway, you can't lose here. Order the Tesla, pay €250 and if you get offered a car and don't want it, just decline the offer and get your €250 back because of distant selling laws.

The Y is the best out there atm imo.
It's been answered above but to add my experience when I asked about the tow bar, was told you order online, it gets shipped to the SC and they arrange a time with you to fit it.
I've a test drive in the RWD (no USS) scheduled soon. Planning to see how it behaves when parking in tight spaces. Anything else anyone wants feedback on?
Audio (vs Model 3), I sat in a LR model in the States last year and instantly heard quite a difference to the 3 but no idea on the current RWD model
I test a RWD UK plate in Sandyford on Tuesday, it was a white one. I can confirm that it has the Premium audio with Sub. There were also sliders in the audio settings for both Sub and Bass. Rented a M3 RWD in the UK about a month ago and there was a considerable difference in both bass and loudness.
Test drove RWD white UK Model Y this morning. No USS so cameras only for parking. It would be nice to have the safety net of the audio from USS as no sound when cameras only. The sales guy did say that a software update may allow sound to be added to mimic the USS in future but no mention of it yet. Drove up the Kilternan road from J15 M50 and suspension was fine. Was told the same thing about probable September delivery with inventory in March from cancellations a possibility. Decision time now.
Forgot to say It was 10am test drive so a cold start on full battery which was showing 410km range. Route I took was 14km and still had 402km showing when dropped back. Impressive efficiency too from cold start @ 17.1kwh/100km. No way my id4 would ever match that from cold start.

Pure speculation, I'd ignore it, there's Tesla software updates years in waiting
Current RWD gets the premium interior so that includes the same sounds as the LR and P.
Yeah, I thought that, what threw me was Bjorns blue RWD where he said it had basic audio same as the Model 3, maybe that HK variant (grey import into Thailand) lacked premium audio. Anyhow, the audio is one of the huge positives for me so nice to know in place
have just spoken to tesla, confirmed delivery for february to march now so was then able to change to a blue without tow bar and will install afterwards.
After doing some research online it seems like to I need invest in a child seat protector. Read a few horror stories of black stains from the protector transferring to the white seats. Any of the recommendation are either US only or no longer in stock.
Has anyone use a decent protector that didn't stain a white seat ? Do you use protectors under booster seats as well ?
Tesla is suppose to deliver functional/feature parity of USS so I would assume that sound alerts would be included too (but remains to be seen). Another thing is once Tesla vision is fully rolled out, will they disable USS on cars that have the existing hardware like they disabled Radar? I hope not. USS work just fine and would be a shame to disable, I would say they could complement Tesla vision.
