That’s what I’m thinking.
Hopefully not, maybe allergic to winter 😉
Hopefully 😧
Fancy a cuppa? I'll get kettle on..
Im going to try bed again
By the looks of the forecast it'll be a day for the bed
It's wild out there, one appointment to do then pyjamas and house arrest until tomorrow, phew..
Like everything you get better with practice. The original setter Derek Crozier was a genius and is much missed. There are two setters now and I find one easier to decipher. I’ve been doing it since secondary school in the early seventies.
Used go to a pub for lunch a few times a week years ago and the staff were always doing it.. Never tackled it fully myself but was occasionally able to assist.. Would be quite chuffed with myself at times. Had no idea it was on the go so long..
Afternoon all. This is proving to be a tough week. It seems like that for a lot of other people too. Some are very scratchy indeed. This is going to be a long week...
Second week back to work is always the worst after Christmas. The Christmas buzz everyone was still living off on from last week is well and truly gone. People are now just grouchy and suffering sugar and alcohol withdrawals
Sitting in an Aldi car park. Literally stuck in the car such is the ferocity of the wind and rain.
Was about to post about the wind and rain here ! It was torrential for a while. Yet this morning was really mild , not cold at all.
My late grandmother was great at the Crossaire cryptic crosswords. I was useless at the cryptic ones but could do the Simplex one handy enough in my spare time.
Deskside, home office, looking out at the rain and cloud on this miserable January day...
My super powers worked so I got to see a lovely sunset.
Going through planning meetings all this week. Planning the shite to do in the next quarter.
Holy mother of God !
Just hitting here now..... delighted I did my shop earlier...I had planned on doing it around this time....the presses were all bare so I would have had to go!!
It's such a nice feeling knowing the shop is done!!
I think it first appeared about March 1943 but didn’t become daily until 1982. Crozier died in 2010 but had enough crosswords to Oct 2021.
14605 crosswords in all.
He lived in Zimbabwe most of his life and his wife was a much better crossword solver than he was.
I met him in Dublin when he came over to celebrate some landmark in crosswords published.
😂😂😂
First day back to work post-Covid here, fit for bed!
Oh no, I didn't realise it turned out to be Covid. Hope you'll improve every day.
Thanks, I’d have said it was flu but I did an antigen test and tested positive after avoiding it for 3 years! But while I have been sick, I’m on the mend at this stage.
Go slow and easy. I have lingering symptoms after the flu myself, didn't even have Covid.
It's very frustrating 😑
Weird broken sleep but I'm not deskside tonight 😉
just back from a stroll with the dog. I’m soaked, now going to hatch beside the fire.
Ooh there's snooker on might go relax with that
Also took dog 🐕 for walk. Dry out now. Really, really unfit after December/ Christmas. Can barely walk up the hill. Dog waiting for me, disgusted 🤣.
If anyone knows where my knee brace has gotten to, please let me know.
Watching Ali. Making lists of what i need to buy for the house. Also gearing up for a row with Spessavers. The last reading glasses i paid them for were like tits on a bull
A branch and some twine? Hope you find it soon
