Paid Survey sites - Irish Opinions, Acumen, RedC etc

I signed up for Irish Opinions a Paid Survey service a 6 months ago... the service seems like a bit of a scam... just to quote what they offer you:

For every survey that you complete, your Irish Opinions account will be credited (typically with between €1 and €2). When your account balance reaches €10, we will reward you with a gift voucher for one of a range of well-known high street and Internet shops.

The scam seems to be the number of surveys they send you never reaches the €10 euro mark. Since I signed up I have only offered 4 surveys that made a total of €7.. Anyone else noticed this?

I doubt they'll ever go back to cheque by default. Fewer and fewer people can even lodge them easily (I've got two, short, time windows a week I can get cheques in to my account for instance); plus between postage and stamp duty the cost of sending out each cheque is not small.

Did anyone get the extra 500 points for transmitting with shopandscan.ie over Christmas. Just wondering as I had issues with my clicker so just wondering if they have been added yet as I didn't get them

I got the 300 for submitting before Christmas, and I did one other over but no 500 yet.

Was sick as a dog so barely went to the shops in the first place so may not have scanned enough!

If anyone is able to complete redc survey 22265 please would you let me know the topic? It is again one of those that routes through dkrsurveys and kicks out instantly saying already done and I 've no idea what it is - I assume its a recurring survey.

I suggested to REDC a while ago that payment would be more convenient for everyone if they paid through Paypal like Prolific, Mobrog and Lifepoints. With the increase in the cost of stamps even for bulk purchase it should be something to consider. Someone has to be paid to stick the stamps on and pack the envelopes and add to this the bank transaction fee for REDC and the recipient, it all adds up. Never heard back from them.

Personally I wouldn't like PayPal, as I don't use it.

RedC's parent company in the UK pays directly to bank accounts and I've never understood why they don't simply do that here too.

RedC don't have a parent company in the UK. They are owned by the Sunday Business Post

That UK site may be a subsidiary or just uses the same survey engine
