All Model 3 / Model Y have a very efficient drivetrain, coupled with best in class aerodynamics means that motorway range at 120km/h is far better than the competition for similar battery size. That's how a 55kWh Model Y has roughly the same range as a 80kWh VW ID.4. Which of course means the 2 cars are direct competitors but Tesla doesn't have to add 25kWh, that alone saves them $2000 in manufacturing costs.

Model Y also has quite an efficient heat pump as standard. ID4 has none unless you option it at €1150 which very few do. EV6 also has a standard heat pump but I don’t think it’s as effective as the Tesla one.
Those figures are meaningless when it comes to where you need range most: driving at 120km/h GPS speed on the motorway. I wouldn't be surprised if those 3 cars would have near identical ranges. Someone please test this!
There's a PCP on used Tesla, and below is what I was officially offered by Tesla 4 days ago:
Finance Ireland offer PCP and Hire purchase. Interest rate is 5.9% but will be changing to 6.4% on the 1st Jan.
Hire purchase terms: 36, 48 or 60 months. PCP terms - 36 or 48 months. 15k km, 20k km, or 25k km per year.
Interesting - PCP not an option when I bought mine the other day (2021)
I am also buying used 212. Not sure, could be that they are just using some email template with AIB and Finance Ireland HP/PCP offers.
The 5 seat MY hasn't qualified for the US $7,500 2023 credit. Only the 7 seater got classified as an SUV and qualifies. If that remains unchanged, then the people who took the end of 2022 discount did well, and it will hit the MY sales in the US a bit this year I would expect.

It would likely be more than 30 days from factory to Ireland - loading, customs in China, probably unloaded in Germany, customs cleared and then short sea to U.K. and trucked from there ? You imagine anything that will be registered here in Feb will be manufactured now

I have a deposit down on a RWD MY that's due Feb/Mar, but it'll depend on how much I can get for my Sept 22 M3 at the time. I understand that others have gotten their deposits back when cancelling their orders but at what stage does it become non refundable?
Tesla just contacted me asking me to fill in the registration details, but it says that these cannot be changed after you submit them: "Please note changes to registration details cannot be made in Tesla Account after submission". Has anyone here gotten their deposit back after entering your registration details? Will Tesla still assign a VIN to your account if you don't enter the registration details?
I've seen on here that you can get it refunded due to distance selling rules, anytime so feel free to proceed with application process. Someone got it months after cancelling order.

I didn’t accept the car once I got the text so once you don’t accept then your grand.
You should have an idea on trade in now from Tesla, I got my trade in estimate in November when I ordered the MY.
You can accept the trade in offer etc
it won’t effect your refund should you cancel.

I cancelled my order when they informed me a vin had been assigned. I didn't know about distance selling regulations at that stage. After hearing about them here 6 months later I contacted them and got my refund.
