And how close would Sir like his shave this fine morning?
Not that close? Perfectly understandable ...
More mobilized soldiers taken out.
More Himars? (some are saying it was a Russian attack)-
Excuses from head of wagner over lack of progress.
What a disgusting piece of filth that man is!
lol-
Whoever has firm control of the military and security apparatus will be the survivor. Almost indefinitely. Everyone from the Kim Dynasty in NK to Assad in Syria have demonstrated how that playbook works.
Whatever happens in Ukraine, or Russia, can be guaranteed Putin will be in power after, if he so chooses.
Look at the amounts donated, for much of Western Europe it is woeful what is a couple hundred million to Belgium, France or Austria. Nothing, given that the cumulative cost to the EU economy has been over a trillion.
Time to take it serious, Russia are losing, time for much of Europe to get off the fence.
The way things are you'd think America was a European power and France etc were throwing a token gesture to a far fetched region.
Looking at charts on Kiel webpages/report you mentioned, those EU amounts come out from someones' hide eventually, I think you are discounting that now.
The % of GDP chart is quite interesting, had not looked at it for a long while before reading + posting on this thread and one in Politics forum today.
I agree about the extent of + massive importance of US support, but as regards hard military aid, European countries just do not have as much of this to give as the US. If they want to give alot more without stripping own armies of their equipment, would say it will have to be manufactured new (which I think is starting to happen).
Probably a bit flippant of me, but you have been on a bit of a doomer before here and I think on other threads about how EU/Europe (and all of us) are quite f-cked, no energy, poor food/agriculture security through neglecting farmers, not focussing on the important stuff for an economy like "clever/strategic" dictators Putin & Xi, mired in debt etc. etc....
Now you say we're all so rich + are not really lifting a finger comparatively for Ukraine and want the European countries to pour far more resources into it?
edit: Look, don't deny more could / should be done, but dismissing it all as nothing and worthless in way you do is very wrong and unlike cnocbui with his "hyperbolic" post, you were not engaging in some dark humour. You mean it.
Not much left to discuss on this I think other than, as said before (many months ago now), am less critical of and cynical about likes of Macron than you are.
Yes, I am sure there's some "heavier" Western equipment available, which Ukraine does not have yet, that could & perhaps should be given to Ukraine by the Europeans right now (assuming training, supply of ammo and parts etc are there)...but IMO appears it will not happen until there is a US call made on doing it.
Looks (to me) like there is still fear there of either Putin going off the deep end and escalating somehow, or of causing very rapid collapse of Russian military in Ukraine followed up by a (possible) fragmentation of Russia.
Do not agree at all on making such nuclear threats (particularly of "first strike" on Russia in response to a conventional attack, as you seem to suggest there). Let us leave that to Putin + his warmonger minions and the horrible creatures spouting nonsense on Russian state tv rather than start "wrestling with pigs".
Time was not up......
Weather in Ukraine is poised to get very cold in the north east from Saturday on.
For something like 3 whole days
HIMARS are busy this year
Makiivka update
When Putin goes, as he will at some stage either from natural or unnatural causes, there will be a lot if changes. North Korea is what you might call a special case, unlike any other., so I would not not be expecting too much change there. Assad, on the other hand, is still dependent Putin. So anything that affects Putin, will to a greater or lesser extent affect Assad. And of course, there are other Country's too where Putins fingerprints can be found ( especially the Wagner group of thugs) and his departure will cause more than a few ripples in the wider world. So we will have to wait and see what a Putin free world will be like.
250-300 certainly sounds more realistic, if the estimates of troops billeted there were correct and given the obvious destruction of the building.
Locals in the region reckon it was even higher. People who live near the site of the attack were saying on Sunday on Telegram channels that it looked like there were many hundreds dead, maybe 500-600 or something.
Came across this on YouTube, bonkers close range fighting in trenches. Is such trench warfare widespread now? I'd say life expectancy of any lads in the front trenches can be measured in hours.

russian politician upset.
There's been a few tweets showing Russian trench positions recorded from drones where you can see several dead outside each position, essentially what's happening is the Ukrainians are killing them in the trenches at night, the following day more Russians are dispatched to the trenches where they drag out the bodies of the previous occupants ,and take over the trench, the Ukrainan drones come every night, and more Russians die in place only to be dragged out and left to rot .
I wonder if this is the single biggest loss so far in this war? It seems the bigger the loss the harder it is for them to cover it.
People did say, the fact they admitted 63 died, just means it's a multiple of that.
Few more of those kinda strikes will do wonders for crushing Russian morale, put pressure on Putin and boost Ukraine morale!
Never understand why people want to downplay everything the Ukrainans do ,they liberate a town , someone comes along with their information according to the Russians the Ukrainans didn't liberate a town , Ukraine kills hundreds of Russians , people come along according to the Russians only this many were killed,so therefore what the Russians say is factual and the Ukrainans are making it up .
Utter nonsense
They really can't see any wrong in what they're doing, they feel they can walk all over any of the previous Ussr states. And when said country puts up a fight they can't understand why their soldiers might get killed in battle, their superiority complex is off the charts.
43,000 war crimes commited by Sep. and he's upset at a legitimate strike on a military target? They are like spoilt, stupid children.
I couldn't function in close proximity to his red haired colleague...
Well done 🤣🤣🤣
Russia now admitting that 89 soldiers were killed in the attack on the army barracks / school building. Still a huge underestimate obviously, there is no way they are telling the truth about what really happened.
Horrific use of incendiary weapon.
Rats starting to jump the ship?
Nightly occurance in parts of Ukraine
It's Looks likely the casualties from the several HiMars strikes this week could put the number of killed at over a thousand not including injuries, and it's still only Tuesday 😂.
