who doesn't like a nice BJ..
@KevRossi - bejaysus you get a round a fair bit, you're not in espionage or something are ya ? 😉
Great spotting there. I noticed that in Turkey (on hols about 9/10 years ago) that there were a lot of rebadged/rebranded older models still on the go.
Also more recent/current (at the time) cars that weren't on the western european market - saloon version of the Renault Clio for example but it wasn't badged as a Clio
Nicosia. Just saw these wandering around the old city.
Merc 600 and Cadillac Fleetwood were both owned by Archbishop Makarios who was Cyprus' first president. 600 has had a poor paint job in the past and could do with a resto. Not sure if it's ever moved. Note the personal plate.
Loads of Cortinas still around Turkey and Cyprus. Built by Ford's partner in Turkey; Otosan until 1994. Badged 'Taunus' as they were in Europe.
Beautiful 124, fully restored and modded.
Beetle was in a bar across the road.
Murat 131 built in Turkey until 2002, there's two in that pic.
Istanbul. Near the Fenerbahce stadium.
Probably Turkish built Renault 12, could be as late as 2000. Still working hard.
Fiat 124. Probably also Turkish built. Its more or less a daily, owner sells motorbikes for a living. Drives it 3 or 4 times a week.
Warsaw, today. Two old Jelcz 043 "Gherkin" / "Cucumber", and a reasonably well kept W124 300D - looked like a daily.
It looks like a nice clean car.
I didn't know you could get louvres for them.
They are making strong money now.
Sandyford at the weekend.
Haven't seen a louvre on a car for a good while, i think it works on this E21; some Saab 99/900s used to have them back in the day, TR7s too.
The gold (BBS?) alloys look the part, the exhausts wouldn't be my cup of tea but each to their own and all that.
Marino, Dublin today, apologies for dreadful pic.
I posted the same Civic on The Oldest Car Thread around 3 years ago spotted at Merlin Park Hospital Galway
Spot on.

Saw this Ford Fiesta two days ago
Hope it's OK to post this here, not worth staring a thread for it.
Lots of pics of 70's cars if you scroll down (don't hit the arrows on the side)
Sicily. Innocenti Mini, built under licence in Italy. Perfect condition, used every weekend.
Messina, Italy. Beautiful daily driver with 230,000 km on it. Original paint according to the owner from what I understood.
Didn’t see these but not worth starting a thread for this video. Irish Times feature on restoring cars with the Celtic Old Vehicles Owners Club in Meath.

Spotted this a few days ago, looks to be in good condition.
Can't remember when I last saw a Cinqueceto, let alone the Sporting version.
Yes, I checked the reg from another pic, can confirm it was on the run.
It was you can see it in the pic.
I wouldn't like to have a crash in any car.
Tried it once, would not recommend 😉
I know that car reasonably well. It lives in Enniscorthy. I wouldn't like to have a crash in it!
spotted this on the M50 the other day, it looked to be in great nick and wasn't holding back either 😎
It looks like he was coming back from the MB club run MrC posted above
Here's a few from a show a friend attended in New Zealand recently.
Couldn't make that run as the Missus has Covid.
Very quiet here lately so I may as well post this. The MB club had a run to Donabate yesterday, just about 20 cars turned up.
Few more
