Wheres our yearly photo of our friends new Ford in Laois?
I don't quite understand why the government don't want older cars on the roads.
Is it to due to keeping people spending or safety ? I didn't realise until I went to Australia how much older cars are no longer on the roads here, couple of weeks after I arrived I was driving around in a friend's 91 EG Civic, even some of their buses in Sydney were 25-27 years old and that was only 3 year ago.
Other places like the UK, France and Italy still have there fair share of older stuff compared to us and I have to admit that I admire it.
Road safety/ road worthiness is the obvious reason the government don't want older cars on the road.
Really? Can't recall older cars causing accidents, handy to get millions from the sale of new cars though.
they don't cause accidents but they do a lot worse in accidents.
Try asking insurance companies about older cars and accidents/ claims.
Insurance companies love an excuse to load policies.
Yeah right.
Why do you think they load policies more on older cars?
Hint: they are involved in more accidents resulting in claims.
Thing is though, they wont even load your policy for an older vehicle. Most these days just wont take one on as new business, at any price. Why would that be?
Maybe he does not like the Puma or he thinks it's too much for what it is.
That time of the year again folks, did our friend pick up his new Ford?
Maybe it's time for a New Year thread. I am guessing that he gets a Ford Fiesta Active or a Puma this year. The puma in blue a really nice blue it is at that is nice or in white with a black roof is nice.
I'd say it'll be tomorrow morning before it's regd for him (if he's changing)
New thread here,
Why would you even do that?
Why would he dig up a year old thread?
A new thread is started on the topic every year
Didnt he trade in the Ecosport for a Suzuki back in March/April?
Yes, and seemingly has 231 LS 1 on another Suzuki.
I wonder does "Our friend in Laois" know they're being stalked on Boards.ie every time they change car!
If it was me and I knew I would pretend to be someone on boards and post pictures of the car up on boards in the motors new year car thread then change it 4 or 5 months later lol.
231-LS-1 is a Suzuki Vitara
This is the trade in as far as I know
I wondering if this is an apt metaphor for the future demise of Ford passenger cars when a previous Ford stalwart desers the brand. When you think that Ford have already canned the fiesta and mondeo and are in the process of canning the once mighty focus as well as the smax & galaxy what does the future hold for Ford passenger cars now that all they seem to have left is 2 faux ICE SUVs and an almost non existent EV? Or will they magic a few new EVs out of the hat in the next year or so?
Jesus lads, some of yeas need to take a chill pill, just a bit of harmless fun every year on boards. Another thread ruined.
The focus is due to go ?
The Ford lineup is all going to be replaced by crossovers of varying sizes. Sure you may as well buy from any brand then.
Andrew,I don't know how to break this to you but a large proportion of the population don't give a fook.
Sure why would anyone give a fool?
Well then they simply need to be made give a fook. If that lad is buying a car every year well then cars need to be 5 times the price.
Car production could stop tomorrow and we'd be fine for years if number plate vanity wasn't a thing.
Ah, the voice of reason.
@Jomcc used to take the picture every year. Is he still active on boards?
