They said they got it from increased phone signals from the location. Maybe that's a deflection from their real source.
Says it all really
Which BBC report is this?
Surprising to hear the wildly exaggerate language when referring to Ukraine, when referring to Russian figures, that language would be appropriate.
The headline is a bit misleading, IMHO. AID is something we give to other Countrys that have suffered natural disasters, Tsunami's, epidemics etc. The money the EU ( and others ) give Russia is earned income, from products they sell. Strictly speaking if it was genuine AID, then that tap could be cut off immediately. But its not, and for now, we don't have much choice. And of course, the Russians are using cash from any source to fund their war. But hopefully, the next few months will see a big reduction in Russia's ability to fund its war from EU / West's cash. And yes, we should be doing more to help Ukraine, they are fighting a battle on our behalf.
That's true, but still doesn't make them accurate. I trust US/NATO estimates much more when it comes to casualties on both sides
They have shown to be more reliable estimates than the Russian lies.
Even the BBC report says Ukraine tends to wildly exaggerate numbers of Russian soldiers killed in strikes, acknowledging that doesn't make you a Russian supporter, just a realist. Though I realise that might be hard for you to understand.
Either way, as I said above, a significant strike, whether 300 or 500 is perhaps less important than the propaganda value
It makes it feel like the side they support has a chance of winning.
The hawks in Russia will be crying for a massive retaliation I presume. Something depraved and targeting civilians no doubt
This is largely on the back of increased prices, and its not AID as the term implies.
I consider it payback for the bombed theatre that had the word "Children" emblazoned on the ground outside.
Unfortunately that was an incentive for the "dead eyes" to attack it.
Don't ya think?
Meet Nina. She used to be a masseuse, sports person and weightlifter, now she's really bad-ass.
I doubt they are telling the rellies back home, which saves on the financial payout they can't afford and hides the situation.
152mm of Ukrainian fury at the front
Yesterday OSINT researchers wrote that probably 152mm ammunition of Ukrainian production was spotted at the front, and today the official confirmation
I read weeks ago that they had created a factory to manufacture their own ammunitoin and that it was near finished. I believe it also has the ability to make 88mm mortar rounds. Now for real icing on the cake, equip it to make 35mm shells for the Gepard ant-air guns and then steal the export market from those scumbag Swiss. That would be epic payback they richly deserve.
It was simply the Ukrainian view of the Orc announcement and figures. I don't think they are venturing their own estimate yet. Probably keeping their powder dry.
Та ти шо!
"Макеєвський роднічок" підняв такий вий на болотах, що саме МО РФ виступили з офіційною заявою.
Пишуть, що zдохло 63 раба (значить точно можна множити мінімум на 5 ато й на 10 закобзонених)
Слава ЗСУ! ->
"Makeyevka's Rodnichok" raised such a stir in the swamps that the Russian Defense Ministry made an official statement.
They write that 63 slaves died (so it can be multiplied by at least 5 and 10 prisoners)
Glory to the Armed Forces!
IF the are admitting to 60 odd killed, the reality is absolute carnage ensued. To the point they couldn't not comment on it.
You could well be looking at well in excess of 600+ dead, wounded, dying. Plus the real win will be stories of this filtering back.
Amazing intel wherever they got it.
Follow up tweet:
So, I think you're jumping the gun a bit. Feb 2022->Feb 2023 will tell more of the tale.
About 3500 Russians killed per week. If each of them has, say, 25 close friends and relatives, that means 87,500 Russians back home are getting bad news every week. And that's not mentioning the wounded going back by the trainload. It must be sinking in...
Still don't understand why certain types want to down play orc losses
Is that killed and injured or just a Guesstimation of the killed,it was a fairy large education facility that's being wiped off the map
Makeevsky rodnichok: The Ukrainian military just seems to be saying about the 63, multiply by at least 5. So unless they get some sigint suggesting differently, around 370 seems a safe working estimate. But cheer up, to that you can add another 213 killed and 87 wounded at Bakhmut, in the last day or so.
They forgot a 0 at the end, like a lot of their calculations recently
The only thing we know for certain is that the Russians lie constantly and underestimate losses by at least 7 or 8 times. Although it’s not surprising that you’d say any figure in Ukraines favour is wrong and estimate lower.
Multiply 63 by a Russian dozen (whatever that is - probably changes from day to day)
If the Russians say 63 and the usual dreamers on this thread are saying 1000 casualties, the truth probably is, as usual, somewhere in the middle, perhaps 300 or 400.
Either way, a significant number and I hope the Ukrainian air defences are working well over the next couple of days as there will doubtless be vicious retaliation against the civilian population, as always
Stupid Germans. If Georgia and Ukraine had been admitted into NATO, neither war would have happened. ruZZia hasn't attacked Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, nor Poland for that reason.
Looking at the Z Telegram comments, cutting through all the wailing on the Russian side, a few folks are starting to question the current strategy. Particularly why Russia are using their stand-off munitions to target Ukrainian infrastructure instead of military targets. One person in particular made a very good point that their precision missiles would be far better used hitting Ukrainian military headquarters nearer the frontline. That makes more military sense to me. Russian missiles/drones hanging over Ukrainian airspace for 2-3 hours are a hell of a lot easier to shoot down than those are are hitting targets at the front. I am not a military tactician though 🙅♂️
That was a huge building, totally vaporised… far more than 60 odd mobiks in there.
Not all the Mobiks there were bad people, many were caught up in the wrong place, possibly some of the protestors taken off the streets of Moscow recently, but Ukraine cannot afford such sentiment.
This is all that psychopath, Putin’s fault.
Even pro-Russian commenters on social media suspect the real figure is probably ten times that. Their 'ministry of defence' are incapable of telling the truth about anything.
Don't focus on the numbers, you'll never get an accurate answer.
If you want to know whether Russia have suffered a setback or not, go to the Z Telegram channels. If they've taken a hit, they will be howling, which they are doing today.
The last time I've seen this much anger was back in October/November when two Russian marine brigades took 300 losses in just two weeks when attempting to take the tiny village of Pavlivka.
