Haven't had a problem seeing the door handles, but my car is white. But often takes a few goes to find the charging socket in the dark, pity there is no light in there like on other cars..
I’d assume so too.
That could drop to 250km in winter here I’d say.
Spec and battery yes.
But, I don’t think it has the comfort suspension. It hit the UK around the time it was implemented in China so it would have to be checked in person.
You are right, it is a big bus. Test drove one myself in November (not the one you drove). Thinking now that I might book another test drive and let herself drive it as she is the one more concerned by the lack of parking sensors.
Thanks for this info.
In the dark, open the door from the app. Not unlock but open or unlatch better said. The door opens few cm and car lights up helping you locate the edge of the door.
Turning circle is not great so parking with the front could be challenging in tight spaces but try rear parking. The cameras provide really good visibility of the surroundings. I've seen better overlays for the predictions and birdview is missing. The self park it is a joke. I put the car in position the only thing should do it is to push back. It manages to mess it up and aborts midway.
The car has its flaws but it is a great machine. I just drove for the last 10 days a rental Tiguan automatic whose price is around the same with the basic 3/Y but not at all in the same league. The config in the picture below for a similar Tiguan with the options to match somehow the basic Tesla with the heated seats, power mirrors and rear camera.
Lol, you literally don't have a clue. If that's structurally weakened and you hit a pothole then blown out rim and a blown tyre
The type of damage shown is highly unlikely to have caused any structural damage beyond the outer rim which is quite malleable. When heated during repair, the stressed material returns almost to the original state. It would take a bit more damage to require an xray, by which time you're into new rim territory anyway. That said, I'd personally have gone for a new rim and would do so for anything requiring reworking of the metal. I'd take a repair to get me out of a pinch and use that rim as a spare aft3r the new one arrived.
I’ll put the first comment down to innocence or ignorance whichever fits best. Most used cars in the country will have had an oem alloy wheel repaired at some point over the years. Once repaired properly by a reputable outfit, there’s no issue. Ask your local tyre fitter or any used car dealer and they’ll tell you who they use for alloy wheel repairs if you don’t believe me. https://www.wheelwizards.ie/
How often have you serviced your model 3.
And did you get Tesla Sandyford to service. How much, what's involved, how long does it take.
I've done 29,000KM without any service.
No service requirements.
Change the cabin filter every 2 years.
You can strip the brake calipers down to clean them and grease them due to the lower use of them in EV’s.
Brake fluid every couple of years.
Tesla will do it of course, but any mechanic can do it too.
What roughly would Tesla charge to send out a Ranger to clean the calipers and do a brake fluid change ? Is there a service pricing menu online somewhere.
I’ve only used them once back in 2020 for my Model S Performance.
Cabin Filter replacement.
Brake Fluid Change.
Replaced front, rear and parking brake pads.
Brake Caliper Service.
Rear half shafts removed and greased (common problem on MS, you’ll hear a clicking at low speeds).
I wouldn’t normally use a Main dealer for the general things but I wanted the half shafts done by Tesla as they are part of the drivetrain so we’re still under warranty.
For all of the above was €654.
Il tell you what, this thread is full of guys that own Tesla's that haven't a literal clue about cars, have never repaired them, worked on their own cars and aren't remotely into cars in the slightest such as you..
Post this junk wheel in the main forum and let's get an opinion from people who actually know what they are talking about from in the trade and actual car enthusiasts and see what they think, would they have junked the wheel..
Would I drive on the wheel, most probably. Would I let my wife or my child be driven with that thing, not a **** chance.

Il put your comment down to a guy that couldn't even change a wheel let alone work on his own car and judge what's structure damage or not,get off the boat you clown
You’ve just confirmed my guess on ignorant. If you don’t like this thread with too many Tesla owners, I’d suggest you stay away.
Your comment comes across as awfully dismissive of the auld Tesla owners crowd 😂.
I won't be getting into my car credentials or how many enthusiast points I've accrued over the years, but suffice to say I have worked plenty on cars and I know a thing or two about materials. The damage shown by the other poster appears to be an outer rim deformation which is easily rectified by a professional repair outfit. There is no need for the drama and hyperbole.
Interesting that you say you would drive on a repaired alloy, but wouldn't allow your Wife or kids be transported with such a repaired wheel. Have you had x-rays carried out on every alloy on every car you've owned or used to transport your family? You'd be surprised how common structural cracks and defects are present in wheels which have never had a repair and yet appear in perfect shape to the naked eye. Potholes cause untold and unseen damage to wheels, but we carry on and the NCT hasn't yet required our wheels to go through an x-ray machine just yet.
See Tesla have taken FSD off all inventory 3s
Why would they do this ?
To lower the asking price in the hope that they might shift a few more cars…
In the USA?
In Ireland, they had them as a end of Q4 sales incentive I'd say, that "deal" is not needed now
I didn’t see that at all.
I was looking at them on 31st and EAP was all I saw.
I got the email to check as they offered 10k with of SuC but not a single mention of FSD.
my apologies, maybe it was EAP on the all and now they are all back to basic “auto pilot”
I think it was tbh.
They have EAP on their used stock and then on the “new” stock, standard AP. They may have added EAP to the “new” stock but again, I don’t even see that but that’s not saying I didn’t miss it either.
Are your breaks extremely squeaky as well? Im guessing its because they are very rarely used but very jarring on a 4-month-old car :D
No, no squeaks at all.
Never had the squeaky breaks either and I single pedal a lot
Anybody have any idea when the next batch of Model 3's are due in by boat?
Was hoping to get my September order this month but seen as I haven't heard anything from Tesla I am assuming this isn't the case.
The latest Tesla Model S Plaid electric car, which Elon Musk introduced on June 11, caught fire while driving, when the driver was in the cabin. The owner miraculously survived - the electronics malfunctioned due to a fire and blocked the doors, due to which the man could not immediately get out of the cabin. He had to forcefully knock out the door to get out of the passenger compartment, while the electric car continued to move.
Is that true?
