It was unexpected and very, very good. Really quality tv.
There is a companion podcast that comes out each Monday that is worth listening to as well
It was very well written and exceptionally well acted but hard to watch and quite upsetting. If you've been through a painful loss it was a piece of cinema that drilled down a bit and resonated with a realism that was cutting.
Latest episode of The Last Of Us was absolutely incredible
Very good film.
Where is best to catch the 6ns games in Belfast? I'll be up there for the first round but haven't a breeze where to go.
The opening for the Last of Us was fantastic and the rest of the episode was pretty great too. I never played the game but am considering getting it when it comes out on PC in March
I should really be target audience for that show as I've read most of Tom Clancy's books and the Rainbow Six books amongst others within his Jack Ryan umbrella but really struggled with it. I gave up on season 2 but got through season 3 mostly because I was dying with the flu and stuck in bed.
You are spot on, it's completely formulaic and riddled with continuity errors and plot holes. "Jack Ryan" is also a complete placeholder, It's Jason Bourne without the baggage and in no way resembles the Ryan character from the books or movies.
Last year was solid for TV shows all the same. First episode of "The Last of Us" was very enjoyable so will get stuck into that. I'm also enjoying the Mayor of Kingstown which is a lot better than it's critical reception would have you believe.
I finished watching Jack Ryan season 3 last night and while it was entertaining enough to keep me in for all 8 episodes, if you told me it was written by an AI I'd believe you
My wife started watching Severance a while back. I didn’t like it at all for the first half of the season. I couldn’t understand why she was watching it at all. But it came good in the second half and by the last episode I was hooked. Wouldn’t have bothered with it myself initially but glad that she stuck with it tbh.
I liked Severance. Didn't live up to all the recommendations I got for it though. Kinda meandered for a lot of it but the last episode was brilliant.
The Banshees of Iniserin is pretty good. Watched it last night.
Yeah I’d say it’s a marmite show. You either love or hate.
I couldn't get into it at all.
Not sure if already discussed. But severance is great tv. Dystopic sci-fi thriller with black humour. Really enjoyed.
I think 1 million of the 3 million views on this are me
Jeff wasn't a hogger either. Recently, he let the spotlight fall on his band mates.
The Yardbirds were phenomenal.
I remember Jeff Beck in the mid 60s with his work with the Yardbirds (Unbelievable guitarists worked in that band)
I saw him in concert in the early 70s, vague memories. I think Cozy Powell was on drums.
Incredible musician. RIP
Very sad to hear that this morning. He's responsible for some much music that people dont realise, due to his guesting on some many artist albums, of so many different genres.
definitely up there as one of the best ever.
Best guitarist ever, imo. A different claa.
Jeff Beck has died. Often described as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Beck – whose fingers and thumbs were famously insured for £7m died after contracting bacterial meningitis.
Bought my last 2 from www.eurieka.ie, an Irish owned company. Love my HP ZBook.
where's the best place to buy a laptop in Ireland?
A sugar binge. Hormone and insulin levels are still riding high trying to deal with the sugar barrage and inevitably, blood sugar levels drop. Lethargy and irritability set in, then comes the sugar 'hangover', in the form of a headache. Best top it up with good whiskey. 😁
There's a certain point, as you demolish an entire tub of Cadbury's Roses, when it genuinely feels like your eyeballs are sweating.
Can anybody please explain what might be happening here, physiologically? @jacothelad ?
Well if you were in the closet, you might well have a beard.
Ok. So I’ll come out of the closest and admit I don’t have a beard…
Honestly unless you're one of the men who has crazy facial hair growth rates it can take a long time to get to the good beard stage.
Same, though I started growing mine a few weeks before we heard about Covid. The lockdown helped though, you could get through the stupid stage where it's too long to be stubble but not long enough to be beardy without having to leave the house!
I don't think I've been clean shaven for about 10 years. I'd feel weird clean shaven now.
Mine's gray! Glorious and beautiful. I'm so fcuking handsome!!!!
