This one didn’t scare me too bad. I watched one before where i was getting edgy watching it. It was like watching free solo scary.
I have far too much imagination for my own good! But I am a fearless driver. Practicality trumps imagination every time. Also little sense of direction hence the need for bravado on clifftops
Give me your reg , so if I’m thumbing near cliffs , I can politely turn you down 😳
Free Solo was brilliant wasn't it?!
Have you got a tablet CJ? I don't have a tv in my room either, but I download from Netflix and watch it in bed .
What day is today?
Ah you are safe! No car now... dunroamin...at an age when I would have to resit my test and no car now.
I donlt know Free Solo and no TV... I thought you were referring to some of the scary driving videos crossing wild mountain ranges on youtube
It was a film/documentary about a climber , who was climbing without using any ropes/safety equipment etc . That's the shortened explanation. Absolutely terrifying when you see the heights being climbed .
This thread is like a nursing home at the minute with so many of us having been sick 😫
Hopefully we all get our mojo back and can start acting disgracefully again 🤗
I won't stand on a chair because of my wonkey sense of balance so think I'll be giving that a miss. I cry and hide my face in my hands when going over Connor's Pass and that's not even that bad 😳 *
Grumpy in bed again today. Keeping my feet up while I can.
*This makes me a source of merriment in Kerry.
Ah one of those! I saw a few and never again! The programmes i meant were those of eg lorries driving across mountain ranges on narrow roads etched out of sheer cliffs with a ... drop. And memorials to those who made an error.. Was it Peru?
Conor is near my limit.. followed of course by Dingle peninsula... I so longed to live there but no house came up for rent. The first time I drove Conor 9n the wya back to Tralee from Dingle it was thick with snow and ice and part way up I really really wished I had not passed the sign warning re dsngerous ice!. A few more awesome passes up in Donegal. As long as I am driving I am fine. LOVE it. I miss it too.
i googled "dangerous roads peru" and it threw up a whole slew of mountain routes! I need a change from "The Bill" .... TYVM!
Thanks, There really are no words! I used to climb beach cliffs etc and am lucky to be alive still. No sense of danger at times. See a cliff? Off I went. But those in high mountains?
Back to work later, for now a cuppa and a nap
Was talking with Alfie and he can not wait to see me and give me a telling off for leaving him for so long 😂
How’s everyone here today?
He'll be in a right huff when you get there! 🤣
Yosemite National Park Graces . Amazing if you get to watch it tbh .
@Sardonicat , not particularly fond of heights here either. Have this irrational thought that it'd be easier just to jump down instead of climbing down when I'm up high . It's not helpful at all 😁
Nah! He will love her to... death! When a friend was in Ireland for a while she HAD to have a dog. Somehow that morphed into three puppies. When I visited her every weekend, the pups would rejoice to see me and literally ambush me and leap on me. The bear no grudges...Pure devotion.
Can't............ Get.......... My........... Butt.......... Off......... The........... Couch
🛋️😁
I fear I may never enter normal civilisation again I am gone that lazy.
Off to work, what is normal?? 🤣😂
Well, don't ask me anyway!
Hope the night is easy on you tonight.
Lying in the leaba chilling after a very long day travelling home from Lisbon.
Pleasant flight that wasn't full but we got very little sleep in the tiny double bed at the airport hotel last night after a very long drive up from the Algarve.
Yesterday we took in the ruins of a 2nd Century BC Roman villa very close to the hotel we'd been staying in and the large 12th Century castle at Silves before the long drive North through a Curragh-like landscape of cork oak trees punctuated by river valleys.
Portugal is a beautiful country populated by a people with beautiful hearts. 💕❤️
We will be back for sure. 🇵🇹
Those photos are simply amazing, JK!
Couchside here, watching Netflix. I’m surprised how strong the wind outside is.
Same here..watching series 3 of Afterlife, very stormy outside. I could get so used of this, up all night watching tv and not needing to set an alarm...will have to set one for the morning, early bj, the rain better feck off so I don't frizz.😁
Reading through Boards, and came across the ‘what book are you reading’ thread and realised I have a stack of books to get through, but my eyesight has gone to fcuk. Need telescope power reading glasses!
Are ya sure it's not the wind inside?? 🤣
Very sure..cant speak for thomil.😛
Need crisps but they are in the kitchen and I am snug abed.. Maybe one last multi-purpose into the chilly nether regions... Jeromino!
Watching YouTube videos of pele what a legend. No doubt it will morph into watching maradona as well.
