Is it imported from Checzhoslovakia or is it brewed int UK? Be careful.
Can that be used with the Guinness Nitro Surge or am I way off?
Ah sorry just popped it into Google.
8 degrees citra marked as €2 a can in Dunne's last night. I chanced my arm and it rang in as €3.70 at the till. I said it was at €2 at the shelf sticker.
Roll on 6 cans in my basket that cost me €12.
Anyone know off hand how much the port is in Lidl? Thanks
Dont know exactly but...
Tesco ruby port is 11.50 and 19%
LIDLs will be similar due to MUP
A very good article on Budvar.
€11.49
Staropramen is the one you need to watch out for. The 660 bottles are brewed in the UK (very hard to spot on the label) and are muck.
which beer ?
A mix of their pilsners and wheat beers like Franziskaner and Krombacher.
Going to hammer in an order with mybooze after Christmas. Will get 72 cans. Mix between Krombacher and Bitburger. Worth the risk in my opinion.
The delivery charge is fixed and is based on 2 crates of 48 beers. It's more economical to either order 48 or 96 in one go instead of 72.
Why? Same as every cute hoor idea sold to the public as supposedly for our own good. Some cohort are using their connections to lobby and gurn they aren't coining it enough. In this case publicans and vintners. So all of a sudden the government is super concerned about the health implications of drinking off licence booz at home. Much healthier if they drink in pubs instead of course.
Vintners.
And now the cnuts are charging 6.70 for a pint of heineken in the local. 7.60 for moretti.
Makes cans seem cheap.
And just to really make your day the extra you are paying is going to the drinks companies and the retailers.
Of course the Government also collects the extra VAT.
Happy Christmas bottoms up 🙂
Don't forget you can get pissed until 6am with the new opening hours they voted in. 🙄
Just after getting into home brew myself, 24 bottles of a nice Belgian dunkel beer 7% ABV all prepped and ready to go for Christmas, worked out about €1 per 500ml bottle (after kit and equipment is paid for).
The vintners and the government can take a running jump.
That could be the best booze deal so far 👍 If not too much hassle please pm some details of your setup for those results.
Yeah could you PM some details aswell if possible.
It would be something I’ve been meaning to do.
Is there a home brew kit that can mimic heineken?
There's a home brew forum on Boards - have a look there. I used to do quite a bit of home brewing - there's varying levels of commitment but if you're doing standard kits it's honestly a piece of piss to make decent beers - ales and ciders anyway. Made plenty of cracking IPAs and weissbiers back in the day. Biggest issue is where do you put the bucket while fermenting. 2/3 hours working day 1 and similar bottling day is about the long and short of it
@Gusser09 lagers unfortunately are comparatively difficult to make 'properly' using homebrew unless you have some more equipment and ambition!
Edgy.
Tried it last night.
It was nice but as expected my taste is more in the Spanish/Italian direction so was not blown away.
Bailey's 70cl bottle still €10 in Dunnes Stores if you fancy it.
Czech Republic
Czechia!
Tesco - Moet e Chandon - had it at €30.00 a bottle but changed their mind and now it €35.00, good bit cheaper than normal though (circa €55.00
I can guarantee that most of the beers here posters are talking about are now brewed in UK and not the country of the brands origin. Heineken now seems to be imported from Holland again though.
Moretti - Uk
Corona Extra - UK
Staropramen - UK - depending on bottle size.
Madri - UK
Tiger - Ireland
So no bargains really to be had on any of them when they seem to be cheaper when they are actually imported.
Yes Corona since they moved to UK is basically enriched piss that some cowboy mixed up in a barn in South Armagh compared to the Mexican stuff. Corona Light is still brewed in Mexico, available at SuperValu for anyone who liked the old taste, slightly lighter version though. On special at €15 for 12x355ml bottles at the moment 😁
Moretti 660mls are still brewed in Italy.
