Translated Russian soldiers Telegram post.
Looks like @greenspurs has vanished! What a surprise. I suppose I shouldn’t expect someone who supports the mass murder of children to have any sort of a backbone.
The Russians are bad.
It's true that children have been killed in Ukraine. It's strue that children have been maimed and injured in Ukraine. It;a also true that children must have had narrow escapes in Ukraine. The only problem that the picture isn't of one of them, but if you took a photo of one of them it would probably look very much like that. The point is substantively true but the sample detail is incorrect. This is bad form or a silly mistake on the part of the reporter, but otherwise doesn't amount to a fart in a high wind when in comes to the reality of what's happening in Ukraine.
Regarding the reporters "agenda", what's your problem with it?
You're always going to get misinformation and fake news in war, either unwittingly or because someone has invented something. But the Russian regime has committed so many war crimes and killed so many Ukrainian civilians this year, that inventing anything about them would hardly be necessary. I've seen seen very conservative estimates that they have killed 20-30,000 civilians this year, but many suspect the real numbers are much higher.
They are not bad. They are evil.
I don't think people realise the damage that this false propaganda does to Ukraine.
I am on a lot of the popular Russian Telegram channels and this sort of thing is like catnip to them. What's worse is that there are pro-Russians sources out there who will promote this as evidence that Ukraine lies just as much as Russia does. I guarantee that there are people out there who read about this fake and will think "fcuk it, both sides are just as bad as the other, I am tuning out of this war for now on".
I havent...
Wow... WHAT A LEAP .....
Where did i say that ?
Typical response from someone triggered....
My opinion on the 'war' is my opinion... I posted a tweet that a Ukrainian lawyer and M of P posted a misleading tweet , saying that the boy in the pic (mare 8yo) was just after surviving a russian attack.
Its a complete lie, thats my point. Whether there was an attack or not ?? But its a complete lie to say the boy pictured survived that attack....... The picture is from 2013 ...
So, try bend that what ever way you want .........................
But ....But.....But......But......... ad infinitum ...
A 17 year old schoolgirl was fined 30 thousand rubles by a court yesterday in Russia for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.
She used the <...> which is illegal to use against the Russian Forces on posters she stuck up.
Sure. Why not?
If you go onto google images there are countless photos of real Ukrainian children impacted by the 10 month war. Why would she go to the effort of lifting a photo from something unrelated when it's literally quicker to get one from the vast number of real photos online? Exactly, it doesn't make sense. The most likely explanation is that someone sent this to her, she didn't fact-check it, and posted it on social media.
Those on russian telegram will be doing the same regardless, if all news posted was real (and it's not, accidental mistakes will happen, deliberate "mistakes" will happen) they would still be doing the same trying to discredit it.
"Both sides"'ing these arguments is being a bit of a sh*t, those who tune out because of it are dumbasses who can't think critically themselves.
Yes, there is propaganda in war. Many people believe anything posted on Twitter too, but should they?
And now putinbots are telling the world some of the Ukrainian propaganda isn't true, while the regime they support murders children every day. Of course they don't talk about the latter.
Still don't know what point greenspurs was trying to make. Was it supposed to be some sort of a gotcha moment? Evidence of endemic Ukrainian falsehoods and/or russian innocence? Seems like a waste of bandwidth to me
Has there been much 'fake news' at all from the Ukrainian side? They are usually very cautious about what they publish and what they say. Also, why would they need to invent anything when they are being bombarded daily by the neighbouring fascist state? There's hardly the remotest need for any false flag events, not after 10 months of war and invasion.
Russia has been trying to demilitarise Ukraine for nearly a year now. 🤣
If you can see that its about a Ukrainian basically lying that the boy was injured in a russian bombing - when its a total lie/mistake , whatever.
Its still a lie put out by a lawyer .
That was my point. Not bad Ukraine/good Ukraine - Bad Russia /Good russia .... I never mentioned that. It was about her using a fake photo .
Fairly simple...
But some still feel the need to attack the poster ... nice 🙄
@greenspurs With all due respect, I think you're the one who is being unreasonable, as you seem to be suggesting that that thing was done to be devious and conniving, when surely you see that it's a case of a fiction revealing a greater truth. Are you annoyed by say NSPCC adverts, which feature children acting, rather than children who have been neglected and abused ?
And to be honest with you, your point, coupled with the your signiture text about hate speech suggests you're a person who's looking for attention...
Hmmm.
It's a war, there's propaganda. Of which, Russia produces a vast amount daily, and they are the invaders, the instigators of the war itself.
Yet you zone in on this one tweet by a Ukrainian (which could have been a genuine mistake).
Some individuals don't like the fact the Putin is widely reviled for his actions and the Ukrainians are widely respected, that people see Putin as generally "bad" and Ukraine as generally "good". It triggers them. So they post stuff like this but don't think people will see through it.
Pull the other one.
When a poster expends more outrage on the photo used than the actual fact of Russian attacks on children...
I think the moral bankruptcy of your position is plain for all to see.
This is just faux outrage in the service of a greater lie, to obscure the real truth of how Russia is conducting this war.
Do you support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine?
New Ukr kamikaze drone doing significant damage (warning on the video in the Tweet)
Maybe you could ask Putin for a few pictures of the kids he kidnapped, what do you reckon?
Russia wants to keep the 4 illegally occupied area's as part of any future peace talks with Ukraine,
As we all knew this was nothing but a chap landgrab by putin
Big deal. Here's something slightly more important and relevant to your twisted sense of outrage.
And that's just by August, i have seen multiple references to children being killed in Kherson recently, in particular.
The figures for children injured are far higher; but what does injured mean? Well I thought it was just any category of injury, but I read an interview with that woman medic from Mariupol who was captured and tortured by the Orcs and then swapped for Putin's buddy. She talked about the trauma of working on children in the 'wounded' category, and intimated it usually meant limbs had to be amputated.
So personally, I couldn't care less whether some Ukrainian has used a photo inappropriately, the underlying issue is real and far, far worse than anything she was referencing.
No way Zelensky or Ukraine will accept those demands, and Russia is far from a good position to make any demands at the moment.
That's pretty substantial impacts. Some comments there suggesting it's an RPG warhead mounted on the drones. Definitely more effective than the previous gravity bombs dropped on stationary targets although single use.
Its actually RKG- 3 old soviet era tank grenades developed ww2 and after.
General Mark Hertling was saying the other day that 'negotiations' with the Russians on virtually anything are pointless - and he's basing this on personal dealings with them over many years. He says they demand everything, lie through their teeth and then renege on most things even before the ink is even dry on the paper.
Absolute scoundrels, the lot of them.
Rashists join Ukraine in celebrating Christmas on the 25th December. 200 soldiers have absconded and gone on the p1ss.
That's the danger of any peace agreement with Russia. They will just use their time to build up their military to invade again and learning from their mistakes.
