I'd tend to believe Russian propaganda than that Chuck character!
He's always posting exaggerating claims.
When the truth hurts, it leads to thickness.
Thickness leads to violence.
Russia claim they shot down the last Ukrainian drone which accidentally killed 3 soldiers...... Nothing new there
But it seems the damage is extensive and the number of dead is closer to 20 than 3....
If true. What a strike.
Some rumours this evening that the attack on Engels Air Base may have been of more significance than it first looked - the speculation suggests it was a command and control base for impending Russian missile attacks on Ukraine
^^^ Must be a huge amount of people on the hit list…
Way things are going I’d not drink a glass of Russian Vodka and walk past a third floor window.
Yes, but that's standard practice in the Russian Army for new recruits or conscripts its called Dedovschina or Hazing in other Country's. Time was when the Russian Army had the highest rate of Recruit suicides in the world. Seems like nothing has changed, and most likely, its gotten worse. Certainly seem's like it anyway, and if you see the way they treat those soldiers who refuse to go to the front and fight, pure savagery, the refuseniks piled on top of each other is small cells, freezing cold and hungry.
Another 'accident'-
Russian ministry of defense says 3 military were killed at Engels airbase as air defense shot a drone, no damage to planes
Interesting overview of the war in this article.
I've seen you here before and normally take little notice of your posts. I wasn't angry, just amused.
If Putin is about to die that is precisely the time to counter attack and create division and press for an advantage.
Think you must have gotten hold of a badly translated copy of the art of war.
Otherwise you're just another shill pretending to care about Ukraine while trying to protect the Russian dictator and his minions from his actions.
It's around the 20 mark this year alone!!
Crazy really.
Well I have not seen you here before so I will take no great notice of your comment. Think about what I said instead of getting angry. If Putin is about to die their is a good chance his replacement will order a stop to the war and pull out so why for the time been would you send more of your army to die if your objective can achieved by time keeping.
This may be the catalyst for Putin's end.
Remaining targets decide to act together to remove any further threat to their group.
It's not a surprise at all.
Hell they had no problem dealing with Nazi Germany at the time and most of the Nazi gold can be found under the streets of Switzerland
The Swiss being Swiss again despite the protestations of some on here who think they're a template for ireland

More suspicious deaths of Russians!
Not meant in a bad way, my point being this has been done daily since the fall of the wall.😎
The destination is the place likely to have point air defenses to shoot it down, not the 700km of not much in between. Whether it was actually shot down or not, that’s another question,
I think these deep strikes are more likely to be special ops sabotage, which I would consider far more impressive than if it was a drone.
I suspect the concern isn't really exporting drugs and pharmaceuticals to Russia, but more so exporting equipment or raw chemicals that could be repurposed for weapons production.
Manufactured drugs are not very easy to repurpose for anything else really, certainly not on any scale.
The reality of Putin's alleged treatments in reality is probably a few packs of meds being flown in on a private jet via a some proxy somewhere.
There is one thing about this that seems very dubious: "A Russian expert says that medics have managed to get their hands on the treatments for Putin despite all of the sanctions imposed on him and his regime".
I thought that western sanctions did not include medicines. No way that cancer drugs could be argued to have a dual-use.
The Russian claim is absurd.
They're essentially saying the drone travelled about 2 hours unopposed covering a trip of 700km, but it was literally in the last couple of seconds before impact that they were able to shoot it down where it killed three of the servicemen at the base.
"If Ukraine think Putin is very ill they may ease off on counteractions in the hope that he will kick the bucket"
What kind of extremely dumb ass thinking is that? The opposing general is sick, let's take easy on him!
I suppose it follows that if Putin was on his death bed and still bombing Ukraine they would stop all counteractions altogether.
I will not buy any more of the Putin is ill and on the way out talk; until seeing official confirmation of this. That Russian president is doing far too much acting over the years to be trusted. What he is clearly doing right now is playing up to his home audience. A vast number of Russians are ill from covid, and God knows what else. It will make them feel a bit better to see the Boss is suffering too. There is also the stalling technique the Russians have been trying lately, they clearly need 'time-out'. If Ukraine think Putin is very ill they may ease off on counteractions in the hope that he will kick the bucket
Russian Major General beating 10 soldiers for evacuating 2 wounded
I'd imagine any US or British Army officer who watched a so called "commander" attack his own men like that with a baton would describe him as an absolute disgrace and unfit to wear a uniform. He's more like a member of a criminal gang or a convict in prison. No wonder discipline is through the floor if that's the type of violent thug that's "leading" them.
He hasn't groomed anyone to take over according to any reports I have read on succession. When he does go there will be a period of instability.
In the cold world of geopolitics Putin is the person he is but he is the devil the west knows.
What comes after might be just chaos or something worse.
I mean I'd give him some credit if he dropped a fake hand out of his suit as a troll, it would be his only redeeming action in his entire career.
If you look at some of the photos when he was in Belarus, one of his hands or fingers look very swollen and very damaged,in some of the photos his fingers are closed like he's trying to keep them from view
