Ohh so its a sideloaded APK? the chap above with the vague messages made it seem there was some other Iirsh NOW TV app somewhere on the Amazon app store
Nothing works for me at all.
Tried the sideload apk. Says it's been installed but no app appears on screen.
Have it running on the ps5 but annoying having it on when I know the app should work. Oh well

Just the 11 Sky Sports channels. Sports Extra gives you BT Sport 1, 2, 3, 4 and Premier Sports 1 and 2.
There's still stock around the likes of Tesco, DID, Currys of the Now TV Sports/Sports Extra sticks for €15 for a month, best value if it's both you are looking for. You can stack them so multiple vouchers on one account.
having a problem activating a new Sports Pass stick if anyone can help out. Stuck it in the tv, it forced me to do a software update and after that signed in then went to 'My account' expecting to see 'Start Free Trial' for the 2 sports memberships but instead it says 'Buy Membership' next to them and when that is clicked it shows as 38.99. There is also an 'Apply Voucher' option on the page but the Sports passes are supposed to be pre-loaded on the stick and I dont have a voucher code. Any ideas, I cant find any other menu it might be in.
I have some visitors over Christmas who are mad into football, question on the 9.99/month for 3 months - can you sign up and cancel after 1 month (ie just one period of 9.99 as opposed to staying the 3 months) - most likely would use it over the holidays but not after. If that does work, when do you need to cancel? Can you cancel as soon as first payment gone through?

This is wrong - I have been able to cancel midway through a promo period.
Yes you can cancel once your first payment is made , no obligation to continue past the first month . I have done it numerous times .

heres the thing- I bought a stick recently like 4 weeks ago and went to activate it. When I got in on the screen was some email address johnohalloran@ something. com that was logged in, I was like wtf? I logged that out and logged my own account in but the above problem happened on this stick, couldnt find a voucher on it anywhere in 'My account', it just kept asking me for 38.99.
Then I tried another stick from a stock of 6 I bought last August, the first two of which worked fine in October & November. At this point I was conscious that someone may have used the sub so checked the red seal before opening but it wasnt ripped and you cant get those seals off without ripping them. But that too had the same problem, in 'My Account' it keeps asking me for 38.99.
I dont know what is going on but the first stick suss as hell with someones email address logged in but the second definitely had the red seal intact and the problem happened again. I still another 4 sticks upstairs but not sure what to do with them, is this a known problem that someone in the shop or supply chain breaks in to it to steal the sub? It also forced me into a software update and was wondering if there was something in that which stops us buying stick after stick for the sub offers. Im baffled but either way I cannot find a sub on either of these two sticks and apart from 'My Account' there is nowhere else to activate it that I can see
Yes very strange, I've used 6 sticks so far (5 Sports & 1 Cinema) and all have worked as new vouchers that could be added to my existing account. After I have added to my account it always asks to do a software update, I don't actually use the sticks themselves for viewing after this and do a factory reset on them to wipe the account, I'd usually watch on Firestick.
It is very strange especially with the first one I tried having someones email address logged in. But the second one didnt yet it also didnt have a sub on it. Ive emailed CS and given them all the different serial nos and barcodes on the box so will see what they say but its likely bring it back to where you bought it which is of little use as Power City will just push it back to NowTV.
I still have another 3 sticks upstairs so will try those when I get home after work but as they were in the same batch Im fearful they will be the same

Yes 100% this what happened. Someone loading codes and then returning for a refund.
I have used about 10 sticks so far this year and no problem. Purchased in Tesco's and DID electrical. A friend of mine had a problem with one of his sticks no code or it had been used. I believe he got it in Power City or Curry's will ask him again.
The problem with sideloading is that you have to manually update the app. There are also the usual security concerns with APKs. APKMirrior
Much better to get the Irish app that will be up to date - then you will always have it available in your library, which is useful if you replace or get additional firetv devices.
