Ukraine mandatory military service lasts 12 -24 mths, and all males aged between 20 and 27 are eligible. So Yes, as a minimum, Zelenski would have done this training. And most likely as in most cases, after training, they keep the gear. I've seen lots of discharged soldiers still wearing their military gear, even years afterwards. Even if some one has never trained or been in the army, army surplus shops sell loads of army clothing gear, and very good quality stuff it is too. In Kabul street markets, you could get anything you wanted in the clothing line. ( probably stuff they should not be selling either)

Seems that the plumes visible in the video were not the result of missile strikes, but water vapor plumes' from cooling towers. Which when you think about it, would make sense, otherwise why would commercial ( or indeed any other non-military aircraft ) be flying in a war zone? What airline was it I wonder? His attire to me was SPOT ON. The man is up to his neck in work that he should not be doing so TIME is of the utmost importance . So he should be spending ABSOLUTLY zilch time on his wardrobe. So he selects the most practical arrangement that does not ‘bother the mind’. Ie Same rigout every day, same colour every day - a colour that ‘suits the occasion at all times while this war is in progress. And spend all the hours that god has made available to him to deal with Putin/Russia

It wasn't military dress though, it was casual gear.
When the US ( or indeed Irish military) meet the President, they are dressed in their normal civilian military gear. Fair play to Zelelski, he visits the front lines as often as his own Government and military will allow, so he has every right to wear military gear, and of course, he would have done his military service, same as all Ukrainians do. The general consensus with colleagues at work is he should have wore a suit.
He's worth €20 million, a suit is as easy to wear as casual gear to the White House.

It doesn't sound like there is much wrong with Russian morale just yet or running low on shells of any kind They are still sending missiles to any part of Ukraine that they want.
That could just as likely be a way of saying give us guns and artillery. There is no hope of the Russians going on the offensive again IMO. They are not capable of being what they have
Its not numbers that counts in this game it equipment and materials and the Russians are running out of them fast.

They have very good experience of Ruzzian "Friendship" from the past, and the situation Putin now finds himself in, means he is unpredictable. He is looking for something to cover up his failure in Ukraine, so no one really knows what he will do as a cover up, and Finland is not (yet) a member of NATO. So I'd say Finland are just being prudent until they see how things develop.
Iron dome is what they really need, but that's another story.
