Oh sweet baby Jesus.
You've probably never handled one
Not hundreds or thousands of fractures thought
Tis a bit difficult to take someone seriously who quotes Trump in their bio.
I've lifted, carried, stacked, laid and have had to split enough of them with a lump hammer and bolster to know that you won't damage one by hitting it against a human head.
They are used in the construction of high strength retaining walls and have a rating of 7.5 newton, the same as a 4 inch thick solid block. Try head butting one yourself and see how much lateral force you can muster up. Or maybe stop bluffing about subjects you have no clue about.
anyone that specifies hollow blocks on their own in a retaining wall deserves it to come down on top of them. hollow blocks are only strong in compression. but i'm only an architect. i can't possibly compete with your degree in bullshit talk.
Where did you get your architecture degree?
Probably the same place where he got his PhD in forensic criminology.
Hollow blocks are used in retaining walls alright, but only as a housing for the reinforced concrete in-fill.
On their own in that situation they are as useful as plasterboard.
Try breaking a concrete cavity block off a human's face and see how you get on.
A bit of logic needed here
Attractive french woman arrives at remote location before Christmas, found beaten to death at her gate
Chances are someone had encountered or seen her and took a misplaced romantic interest and turned up late at night inebriated
Other scenarios are much less likely to have occurred
And what?
How many times does that turn out to be the explanation for a murder of a woman on her doorstep? It's already not the usual explanation - which is the person they lived with or married to, a serial killer, someone they were having an affair with who had a motive to hush her up. Or a robbery gone wrong.
There's no evidence here of sexual assault, which is another scenario which can lead to murder.
How many times would your "chances" turn out wrong?
So why can't this be one of those times?
How is that 'logical'?
Sure but looking at the overall picture and the ferocity of the attack
Other theories such as land dispute , hitman and random caller are unlikely
This attack is also unlikely to have taken place during daylight hours
Possible but unlikely , it looks like a nightime incident
I was wondering what was behind the thousands of violent murders every week. It's all those rejections of misplaced romantic interest in the pubs and clubs around the country. 🙄
Masters in DIT
correct - they are just used as shuttering
Sure weren't you in the same class - well the days you decided to show up anyway
Taken overall, as an explanation for murder, the 'rebuff' angle on its own is an unlikely one too for a 'home' murder. There's usually more to it - married man hushing up an affair, or a loner who showed previous signs of obsession, or some element of a random predator she encountered.
So if another theory is not contradicted by the evidence, and can be made to fit with what little evidence we do have, then it seems valid to discuss it, albeit mentioning how improbable it is.
I think a land dispute is more likely than a rebuffed romantic approach
Agree. Most if not all of the incredible alternative theories put forward here are spurious. Smokescreens designed to deflect attention from the facts and evidence in an attempt to shield the violent and depraved criminal that murdered Sophie.
Every murder is different
I concur with the garda theory and also believe bailey likely did it
if she was found murdered at the house I might think differently but for it to be at the gate, a gate that defines one end of a right of way..... it seems like the obvious motive. it's probably been ruled out for reasons i'm not aware of but that's where my head is at for now
`Who would possibly want to shield Sophie's murderer??
A little harsh isn't it??
Just wondering on the diary, it would have turned up had she misplaced it so the likely scenario is that it was taken. A person whose advances were rejected would be unlikely to take it - would they even have known about it? Who else would have known that she had a diary that was worth taking?
Also allegedly missing is the small red hatchet that was kept inside the doorway. Did the killer go to the house, get the diary and hatchet and then return to further beat Sophie? Surely a crime of passion, if the killer was someone rejected, then they would have somewhat calmed down after walking up to the house and back so I'm finding it strange that they returned to her to continue the violence?
ha ha so that's what it's all about. getting a chance to boast about your masters lol
you're not aware of most of it
phd in codology
"it's probably been ruled out for reasons i'm not aware of "
I believe the investigators ruled out the neighbour Alfie on the grounds of his frailty at the time. Wielding the concrete block would have been too much for him they felt. The only other neighbours there were the Richardsons who had a holiday home there but were not there at the time.
so basically if someone's theory doesn't align with yours, they're wrong. I imagine the guards that f*cked up this investigation had the very same attitude and mindset as you - we have our guy, ignore any evidence that says otherwise.
